The 90s. My time, my days. Skating endless summers to Nirvana and Sonic Youth. And I'm still stuck there. The last great decade of music and ... well, everything really. Those of us who were there are damn lucky!
Turning 30 this year... I miss those days but not the kind where I will not appreciate the current time because... I've had my awesome years in the past!!! :)
The most underrated UK band of the 90s. Always in the shadow of the pretty boys Ride. Swervedriver could blow them off the stage! 'Raise' is a start to finish masterpiece.
I can't believe I'm old enough to have bought this single as 12" vinyl single back when I was a teenager. I remember getting to like the b side also but can't remember the name of the song. Must still have it somewhere at my mum's place!
This song makes me think of flying whenever i hear it, and just travelling in general. Guess that's why they're space travel rock n roll, incredible stuff.
You can see for miles you say I'm not watchin' anyway Hold on tight to the side you take I can't mind 'cause I'm not right So far reaching Never lose that feeling Past believing Never lose that feeling I'll sweep up the streets today Take your leave then look away You need something more today I don't mind and it's always this way So deceiving Never lose that feeling So revealing Never lose that feeling So far reaching Never lose that feeling So deceiving Never lose that feeling Feeling Past believing Never lose that feeling So revealing Never lose that feeling
I hate that "shoe gaze" terminology. Swervedriver are a British alt rock band if anything they're a non Seattle grunge band....they should have been fucking huge!!! Nevermind I think they're fucking A-class
