I really wish that one day we get an updated SWG in UE5 with updated combat mechanics...but the same depth of level progression and crafting. SWG is so far ahead of its time and I feel most games do not even compare to SWG or JTLS

Me as well, but most devs are simply happy with modding the stolen source for NGE and running private servers. At some point, my goal is to start porting over from that code to work with Unreal Engine. The AI tools are making this much more of an idea that could very well work by next year for sure.

dude are u really gonna do it i’ve been thinking about a project such as this for over a year i really wonder how it could be done i’ve thought about trying to just start with terrains in unreal 4 or 5 idk how far u plan to take this but it’s peaked my interest swg has infinite potential and when u start breaking down its design it doesn’t really push the tech side to hard even tho offering crazy thing like player ran cities large pvp and instances pve raids
