There’s a pack that shows up in the shop around every month. Its 690 crystals for 25 or 50 kyros (50/50). I can’t stress this enough, buy it. You get good value either way, and I’ve had very good odds with it.
Just activated JML and these kyros are killing me. I hate these artificial barriers they put on upgrading characters. It is pretty obvious that they are trying to get you to spend money just to avoid the headache of farming these pieces.

Nooch, I understood exactly what you meant in the video. Don't worry about people being confused, I spend all day teaching kids(teens), and they have a habit of only listening to what they want to hear. I can say, we are doing this 5 times and still kids will ask, "What are we doing?" I liked the video and it just tells me that FTP is still viable, I just have to decide what I really want first. I also have decided to try to get my GET1 2 3 characters done so I can use the extras for Kyros. I have found that when buying getting those Kyros plus a few sim battles here and there I can build up a stack and have enough to push a team up in a month. If you're FTP it's all about managing expectations and not trying to go too fast.
Another awesome tool is the GL gear needed tab on SWGOH. It'll tell you exactly what gear you are missing for the high end journeys. I use it all the time and it really helps figure out what big project to tackle next.
When they increased the amount of gear you could get for all the previously difficult items to farm, this feels like a "get back in line" slap from CG to just add a new pay wall/difficulty curve to replace the other one.
I’m running into the kyrotech blocker for Jabba right now. Thankfully am done with the other journey guide characters besides Aphra and Jabba, because it’s intimidating as heck
I just buy 3 refreshes a day doing all my hard node farms (there's a lot) and the rest go to LS 7-2 I believe. I'm currently using bout 480 energy for my hard node farms but as I said earlier, just spend the rest on farming kyrotechs as you'll never have enough 😆
Very usefull approach to help decisions thank you. I confirm malak unlock with Dart revan low gear. About farming use gac currency for battle computer. Do not farm computer with energy. The node is bad. The other kyro has a much better node. Thx again for your content 😊
I think a great video to accompany this, is a video that shows how many kyrotechs you can get in a set period of time (maybe one year). How many kyrotechs can I get from the night sister assault battle in one year? How many could I get from one refresh per day (120 energy at 50 crystals)? How many can I get from GAC If I win 50% of the time? Then set those timelines against different unlocks. Like 3 assault battles at CT1, 50% GAC and 2 refreshes of kyrotechs will get you enough kyros after 10 months for Grand inquisitor (not including every other character shard and gear piece)
@@NOOCH2GUD kyrotechs are my major bottleneck after 1 year of play and I feel like I'm not doing something right. Spending energy to farm them feels like a waste at the low drop rates. I'm interested if I should spend some of the kyros to relic Dhaka, troopers, or jedi for assault battles. If I should build a wider roster to get higher in galactic challenges. But really I think this video was an important first step in understanding the new gear crunch after the gear double drops. I also wonder as a newer player how I can possibly chase new characters when that means delaying older characters from relic levels. I am rambling now, thanks for the great video!
@@jpwalters09 As someone who has now played since 2019, I know how you feel. One thing that I suggest doing is set a goal and go for it. Getting side tracked with other flashy things will only cause more issues. Focus on what you want and get it, then go for the next thing. When I started to do that it was no longer a big chore. Now I look and pick what squad I want to go next and focus. Since starting that my GP has gone up faster and I have better teams for GAC, Raids, TW, and TB.
For the love of jesus, why the F are those characters so expensive? no wonder i keep getting stuck on Kyros its basically 1000 for 2 characters thats so messed up
Wow, I didn’t realize how many kyros the new journeys needed. Just another reason why inquisitors are trash, they take the same or even more than a gl; and a team like cls that requires way less kyros is way better.
Super confusing to say "you dont need kyrotechs" over and over when you've already explained every character needs 100? you can say "you dont need any extra kyrotechs" but just saying "you dont need any kyrotechs" is false. Just a super confusing way to present that. If it's the way the community presents it I understand wanting to be consistent with the community but this is the first time I've seen it presented this way.
Ive never seen this presented in the community so i was looking for a way to send a clear message. Its a little muddled no matter how you do it, so i figured going in with the clear and stated fact that everyone needs 100 would make that clear. Hopefully the fact that i said that up front and multiple times throughout can clarify. The goal was really to show the farming differences you will encounter.
@@NOOCH2GUD I think the issue with this approach is that journeys require a different amount of characters at relic, so you can't really discount the G13 kyro. In your video you say JKL requires 300 and GAS requires 1100 (700 + 400), which makes it look like JKL is much better in terms of a kyro grind. I did GAS with 2 relics (GK and B1) so the total kyro amount I used was 1400 including the kyros needed for g13. For JKL the characters are required to relic so its really 1300 including the kyros needed for g13, so you can see the total amount of kyro spent is much closer.
