This is beautiful. I found this video while looking for "AGIP" related material on Google. I would like to know if Hans, the designer of the glider, ever worked for AGIP.
Hi Lucio, Hans is just the owner and pilot of it, the designer is a group of south tyrol RC-pilots, it is available from SG-Composites in Italy. Hans never worked for AGIP as far as I know. We just liked the colours, the crazy fire spitting wulf and so on. Do you work for AGIP?
Absolutely, we stopped that and did a hand launch later. Much better. The problem is the angle of the katapult relativ to the angle of the rubber. Both should be more or less in the same direction. Not easy with a steep slope like that.
onedisser I’ve seen euro videos where the planes are launched with a heavy bungee (not on a track like yours). Do you have experience with that type of launcher? If so what is the pull force needed? Is it 5 times the weight of the model? 10 times? I would like to build one. Also you are a very good RC pilot.
Thanks! We use for the Swift (around 7,5 Kg) two Scale-Bungees from EMC-Vega, Germany. they are very good. You use them parallel with about another 5-8m of perlon and a steel ring at the end. They can pull max. 25kg, but it is very difficult to stretch them without being towed over the Ground yourself. With a Motor we omnly Bungee a Little, just to get a few meters above the Ground. Without Motor you have to stretch them a lot. www.emc-vega.de/de/hochstart/megarubber/scale
