In front of the Rui Santa Fe. Some moderate swells from distant hurricane causing undertow currents. A lady and too much Tequila, how quickly this could have been a tragedy.
You can say that again. I've been stuck in those undertoe situations a lot. Just don't panic and give yourself time eventually there will be a opening. 😂😂😂😂.
She was more attached to the being attacked by the wave "drama" then she was to getting away from it.. you can just imagine how many young women like this pick men to also do this too them. Lots and Lots of Drama.
you need to realize what currents and undertows and riptides are present. Being fit wont help you against what you dont understand. "Big lakes and oceans arent swimming pools" should be a sign on every beach.
People may laugh and joke but it’s actually really scary! It doesn’t seem like it’s that strong but it can turn into a dangerous situation very quickly
nah fam, if you're fit and a good swimmer, its not scary. People need to respect the ocean, but not fear it. They need to take precautions and learn how to be safe without panicking. This video is just a fat woman constantly getting knocked over by strong waves. I've been in that for fun, its harsh and I got bruised up, but it was fun. When I wanted to get out, I just got up and ran. Its not hard, some people just need to know their limits.
I agree it's not funny at all! I got caught in one and almost drowned, and it wasn't on purpose! I was just buggie boarding and a wave took me under, it almost took me 3 whole minutes to get out of it. And I'm what people consider "fit" and I've been swimming since i was 3. It's not your size or weight that determines is you live in a rip, it's how much you are educated on riptides and how much swim experience you have.
@@zeffery101 I was at one point in the category of elite athlete and I'm still in above average shape and I almost got sucked out by the waves, no human is physically capable of out swimming wave action. The only thing that got me back to shore was the fact that the prevailing surf sent me to shore.
She had a few chances to get her ass up and run when she was on the sand. You can't fight the wave, you just have to wait for the moment where your on the sand and get the hell out of there
Why aren’t they ceasing the 10 second opportunities to get their butts off the ground and run? They let 3 opportunities pass them by. Makes them look like fools.
See how quickly she got out of breath and had no energy left to even stand up. Without her friends to help her she would have drowned for sure. As she makes it out she will know how close she was to dying there.
She was drinking and (forgive me) out of athletic shape. All jokes aside, this is how people die. She had people to pull her out, but if she had wandered from the bar to that beach alone, as so many do, this would have had a different ending. Respect the ocean or it will put you in your place.
Don't go to the beach and get drunk if you aren't an experienced swimmer (or at all tbh). Don't turn your back on the ocean. Don't stay in the shore break area if you aren't an experienced swimmer (safer to go out a few metres). Don't rely on other people as drunk as you to save you - get up on your feet and get out. Don't swim on an unpatrolled beach, and stay between the flags Know your physical limits
Dude is life more important that being half naked? Like literally stop adjusting your fucking clothes get out of there! Those guys saved her else she was 100% DEAD!
That's when your too big and therefore too exhausted to think clearly. If she were fit, it probably wouldn't be a thing, because after a little peak you're still able to use your brain. She, on the other hand, is already putting all her attention on breathing, just to have her basic functions work.
No one unfamiliar with the ocean ever understands the power of the ocean. It is a monster of force and strength. She probably would have drowned if her friends weren't there. Be very careful with the ocean if you are new to it. But, have fun too! :-)
We've been to Cabo and there are signs everywhere warning you not to go near the water on the Pacific side. All the resorts warn you over and over. I'm a strong swimmer, but that undertow is insane. We waded up to our knees and I literally ran back after the first wave. These idiots all thought it was funny and dont even know how close that was. Stooopid drunk tourists, more than one could have drown. It happens there a lot.
This happened to me and I laughed the first time I got knocked but as I tried to get up I felt myself being dragged back in. A second wave crashed over and i LITERALLY rolled and didnt know where I was and was immediately being dragged back by the water. When i tell you I thought i was going to drown I mean it.
Stefano Scamarone what the fuck lol? Did you even check his channel? The dude's got pretty decent quality content - especially for a channel as small as his. Literally only took me 30 seconds of viewing his channel to find that out. Who are you to bag on someone else's videos? Jesus fuck, go get help.
@Stefano Grigori Scamarone Cano he uploads real life travel videos and you upload mobile gaming videos whos more pathetic now loser? I bet you earn less than 40k a year
Thats their fault. She was saying help, yet wouldn't get up when she was on the sand. All they had to do was stand up, but they decided to make a scene.
QuickRapidfire Gaming it has nothing to do with how fit they are. A wave like that causes people to drown. Its too strong. Even if u where the buffest guy. It'll knock ya down.
disgutted :c yet skimboarders live in shore break all day. Now how is that? Bunch of skinny teenagers getting hammered by waves and no one dies. If she cant tie her shoes without wheezing, should she be out there? Fitness is a big component when it comes to handling yourself in surf. Knowing how to move in waves is important too. That involves competence in breath holding, swimming and timing the wave action to keep you moving towards the beach. In other words....fitness. Someone as big as her simply shouldn't wade out in that.
At 43 seconds we hear her say "help me!"------swimming in the sea whilst drunk should never be encouraged! The sea has no respect of holiday's!! PS/ This beach defo does NOT look like a typical swimming beach. ALWAYS RESPECT WATER!!! sorry to be so dramatic, it's such a stupid way to lose friends.
The riptide is just ridiculous down there. A man that worked for the resort I stayed at saved my life. I thought I was gonna go for a drunken night swim. Thank God for that man I had no idea. I would suggest to anybody drunk or sober. Do not swim in Cabo
Your callous narration made my fuckin' day! "Are they going to be OK, dad?" "No, son. We will be witnessing their deaths momentarily." **totally keeps filming, unfazed** xD
I got caught in an undertow once when I was in my teens and in very good physical shape with lots of swimming experience. I got up every time but the current would sweep me off my feet and the waves would pick me up and slam me down on my head. This happened quite a few times before I finally got out. I was lucky that I didn't die or have my neck broken. Being in good shape payed off, but even that hasn't helped many people. I'm glad there were people to help this lady. The longer she was out there the more energy was being sucked from her. I'm pretty sure the men felt the effects as well, if not right away than later when the muscles start yellin at them for the overuse. I understand that this video is funny to some people. But, because I've experience it first hand it wasn't funny to me. About the comments from people saying she shouldn't be there cause of her weight and stuff like that, if she was at a restaurant eating a bunch of food, the same people may have said she needed to go to the beach and get some exercise.
She was intoxicated & you're not quite coordinated when that's the case.. You can hear her friends saying she drank a little to much tequila in the beginning of the video.. It's actually the beginnings of an undertow, imagine how much harsher it is towards the middle of the foreshore.. She's lucky it didn't sweep her that far back tbh..
***** not from currents like this though. there were quite a few times when all she had to do was stand up and run. The six people who faced the current with her had no trouble getting out after they helped her.
How are u suppose to hold ur breath when ur out of it people don't drown cuz water is deep they drown because of exhaustion even on the shoreline waves on the shoreline like those can easily fracture the spine stop being ignorant to worlds most powerful force
***** lol yeah buddy. waves on the shore can just snap your spine. That's why we have beaches and surfers. These people just snap their spines left and right. Quit pulling shit out of your ass and acting like you know wtf you're talking about.
Water wears you out fast. But they need to be careful. Fitness level is important. Just saw a video of a lifeguard in California and man was he strong ripping through that water to rescue a bride and groom who had fallen in from a wave. New respect.
Happened to me in Costa Rica out playing in the BIG waves, under tow was so brutal it was just sweeping my feet out from under me, thought I was a goner. Was previously told that if that happened swim parallel to the beach, downward and it'll spit you out. It did, but it scared the ever living you know what out of me.
No no no! It has nothing to do with your weight! It just depends on how much education you have on riptides and have much swimming experience you have! I got caught in a riptide and I am what people consider "fit". It took me 3 minutes to get out of the waves with barely anytime to get up and try to get air! I almost drowned! But my cousin risked his life to save me! And luckily I survived! Just keep that in mind and next time you go to the beach look at the flags and always check to see what the swimming conditions are for that day!
from the beginning of the video, she is already sit on the sand... but she just keep sit there and worry about her swimming suit... then she didn't want to run up to the shore... she just walk slow and slow... I feel bad for those guys try to help her...
