jesse!! this is Davy (Froop) from Deer Run!! I was looking up swing patterns and found this video and didn't realize it was you till I saw you in the video!! small world!!
A friend of mine linked this video to me with no context and I'm still not sure why, but I really enjoyed the video nonetheless. Some of these dance moves were so entertaining.
On candlestick the follower should not come straight down from the inverted position. That can hurt her. Should come back to the center (open leg) position first to help get her to the ground in s safe way.
Ignore this lol (also these are basically just the no flip ones bc our school rules says that flips aren’t allowed for the swing dancing contests idk y) Moves to learn: 1:00 Fish (easy enough) 1:10 Momentum (easy enough) 1:22 Lindy Flip/Airstep (medium, hard but seems easy enough once we get the hang of it) 1:33 Around the World (hard) 2:11 Bowling Chicken (done this at dance, so easy for me) 2:22 Moon Flip (hard) 2:30 Side car (easy)
Buddy this (and your other videos) has NOTHING to do with swing dancing. Your are doing gym lifts... and walking, which is great. Could you for respect for swing dancers change that video title please?
These kind of moves are meant to be added to the dance on the beat, if I’m not mistaken. I’m not an expert dancer, but I’ve been swing dancing a few times, and these are just really next level moves. I’ve even seen couples do a few of these at dances
@@annikabloomdahl1384 There is no step, what are you going to add? Swing aerials are very structured moves, you can't just put your girl on your shoulder and call it swing. Come on have some respect.
@@juliensorel5529 Swing dancing is, in my opinion, one of the most playful, lighthearted types of dances. They aren’t keeping time in this video, but they sure look like they’re having fun. If you watch the steps, you’ll see how it can fit into the basic footwork, assuming you know it. Dancing doesn’t have to be formal or perfect.
@@annikabloomdahl1384 Teacher of boogie woogie and lindy-hop here. Nobody's asking for perfection or formality, just respect the meaning of the words. And no this can't fit into the basic footwork, lifts without proper steps and dynamic are very dangerous. You'd know if you actually had at least one lesson.
@@juliensorel5529 Sorry if I came a cross as disrespectful. I have taken swing lessons and been to swing dances, but I am by no means a professional. Thank you for correcting me, and in the future I will try to use my words more politely. I honestly didn’t think I was being disrespectful, but I’m happy to learn from someone with more experience than me.
