It looks similar to an Irish pour technique, (except in the mold instead of pouring the layers one at a time and then tearing them up and packing them in the mold before pouring.)

This is a cool technique! How long does the first layer cool for? I literally just tried it but I don’t think I let it sit long enough. But I’m happy to try again 😅

Thank you! The original instructions call for 10 minutes, and check it with a pencil eraser and if it bounces back a little, it's ready- if not add 5 minutes and try again. It really depends on the temperature of your workspace, so it's hard to be exact on that. Good luck to you and would love to see your results! 🥰

Hi! I can't remember exactly, but I recorded it in the full tutorial video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cT8o5SF3744.html I think it was 15 and 10, BUT also your environment makes a big difference with how fast it sets up. That's why you poke it for a "bounce". I hope this helps! 🥰

What is the ratio of fragrance oil to soap base?
@msTsoap
@msTsoap 7 месяцев назад
Great question! I generally stick to 1-1.5%, but to be truly accurate, you should look up the IFRA guidelines for each particular fragrance, and be brand specific. The place you purchased it should offer that information and it should be easy to find. You also have to consider the percentage of additives that your soap base will take, as each brand can vary a little. I have a fragrance oil video that goes a little more into detail about IFRA, it's in my beginner playlist and has the word fragrance somewhere in the title or the thumbnail (sadly, I can't remember the title off the top of my head).Hope that helps! 😊🥰

That came out amazing! What's the scent?
@msTsoap
@msTsoap 9 месяцев назад
Thank you! I used Aloe Water & Sea Kelp from @Wholesale Supplies Plus. It's my go to for many of my ocean themed soaps. Beachy without smelling like suntan lotion, and not too salty. 🙂❤

@@msTsoap Ok. I just ordered from them! I hate I didn't put that one on my order.
@msTsoap
@msTsoap 9 месяцев назад
@@JM-sd5dt scent is so subjective though, what one person loves, another one hates- just look at lavender, so many love it and so many hate it! 🤣 Same with Patchouli. Another good Ocean type fragrance I love is Ancient Waters- but I can't remember where I got it from (Rustic Escentuals I think, which is now owned by WSP). Emerald Sea Grass is nice, from Wellington. I do a lot of ocean/sea type soaps since I'm in FL. Cool Water would also work, and so many places carry that. Hope you find the right one for you! 🙂❤

@@msTsoap Yes, that is true. I really don't get the love of lavender lol.

@@JM-sd5dt I like the real thing, but not the fake fragrances, essential oil only. And the smell of baby powder makes me choke. 🤣Thanks for watching! ❤
