I've made this at least 6 times in the last few weeks. Every time has been perfect. I had to adjust the baking time (every oven is different) but my whole family has been happy with the results. Great and easy recipe.

my cake is resting in the fridge right now! it was v. easy to make! i was surprised how easily it rolled without cracking! it feels really soft and fluffy! cant wait to taste it :)
I made this today - without a hand mixer! My arm is dead but the cake came out great! One word of advice is not to under-mix the meringue part into the yolk part like I did in a rush. There was a thin layer of rubbery egg on the bottom of half the cake because of my mistake, but luckily it peeled off without damaging the tasty cake. Thank you for the easy to follow recipe!

A nice tutorial for those who are learning!! I love making an almond sponge with a cream cheese and raspberry filling. Pipe whipped cram on top and sprinkle almond halves on top. 👵🏻😃 (I used to be Bake-Off superintendent and also won with homemade rye bread. Grind my own grains with an electric stone on stone grinder. Smell is absolutely intoxicating!!!

I have noticed that if you add a bit more vanilla, it has a very rich taste, and I would recommend adding an extra teaspoon for the added flavor. The roll has a nice, soft texture, and is of perfect density. Again, thank you so much for your amazing video.

i make this every other month and it is my favorite thing ever. Trust me it is a recipe worth trying! The only thing that has kept me smiling through quarantine!
I just have to thank you this recipe turned out AMAZING and looking like yours! It tasted SO good. The only think i changed was add some strawberries and cream cheese into the whipped cream filling and made so homemade jam to go along with the whipped cream.

Made this today and it came out perfect 👌🏼 the sponge cake was pillowy soft yet does not crack when I folded it. This is a fool proof recipe and I highly recommend it! You are an amazing teacher 💖 lots of love all the way from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
I just made mine and it was okay. It’s not very sweet but it has enough sweetness to satisfy you. My two younger brothers really liked it! A Tip if your planning on making this! Add a little of condensed milk on to the cake after its out of the oven, then cool it. The cake wasn’t really moist so I recommend this!! :)

Actually ,This Cake is supposed to be moist...sorry that it didn't turn moist for you..i am not sure about the reason ..but may be if the cake got baked longer than expected, it will get dry and loose its moistness and at the same time if it is not baked enough, it may smell "eggy as well.so baking duration is something critical in making this kind of egg based roll cakes.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe, my only concern is that you forgot to mention that you need to only pour half of the sugar in the egg whites and other half in egg yolks.

Thanks once again for a superb recipe! Came out beautiful. Husband asked me how a cake with only 60gm of flour can make a full sized cake. That's the magic of the egg whites right! 😎 Made it for a birthday party. It's going to be the star of the day. 😁
Notes to self for next time: 1. 60gm sugar goes in the egg whites, 20gm in the egg yolk portion 2. My Pan size is smaller, so bake in 2 parts else cake comes out too thick to fold and it cracks while attempting to fold.

Great recipe, thank-you. So light and tender, no need to roll it before cooling like most of the other recipes.I doubled the whipped cream to create a more even ratio of cake to cream. Do you have a recipe for a chocolate sponge version? I'm wondering how much cocoa to add and if any other modifications need to me made? Also, I didn't see the pinch of salt in the written recipe in the video-is it added to the dry ingredients?
