Are the cameras good? Well I mean obviously I’m sure there great but every time I mess with a S20 whatever ultra phone the camera quality seems kinda weird compared to what I’m used to
If you will get the Snapdragon version, it is definitely a better choice. If you're moving from a midrange, even the Exynos version will fulfill your needs. I have the S24 (Exynos) and it is definitely not worth if you're a phone bug and use your phone literally the whole day, it gets warm easily and the battery on the smaller S24 is definitely not reliable, S24+ maybe a bit less warm but I would suggest you to check your market if you have rhe Exynos or Snapdragon available, if Exynos, just go for S24 Ultra. If you have less budget, S23 Ultra is again a good choice as well. It's up to you, what fits you well.
My favorite part of my S24 Ultra is the battery life. This phone is an absolute beast!! I've had travel days where I've literally been on my phone for like 16-18hrs working remotely on it and also gaming, streaming video and net browsing and I'm still at 20% by the time I'm getting into bed for the night. I've never experienced this kind of insanely long-lasting battery life on a Samsung phone before and I'm loving it!!
@@deMocskonyi the experience with the Google phone was absolutely horrible. The contrast switching to Samsung has been lovely. Don't even get me started on the iPhone either. Lol
@@boxyt8843 just overall shouldn't be considered a flagship phone. The battery drain is horrible, it gets very hot, it freezes and restarts, my volume button fell off. The facial detection doesn't work. It just seems like googles products are still beta products whereas Samsung is very refined.
@Philthy_777 I buy and sell on eBay for a living and I can get a full day out of it without charging it untill after midnight. And I'm constantly using it through the day. Taking pictures, listing, emailing, phone calls. My old phone could never last as long as this
@newadventures4035 Same. I'm on my phone all day for work as well and this blows my Pixel 7 Pro out of the water battery wise. I've only had this thing a couple days, but each day that passes I love this thing more and more 👍
I'm constantly torn between my Fold 6 and S24 Ultra as my favorite phone. The battery is better on the Ultra, but the bigger screen on the Fold is so nice.
I just got the s24 only because of the size! I love something I can hold with one hand and put it in my pocket. I've owned ultra size phones in the past and they are incredible!
I had a terrible experience with my old S8 so I switched to iPhone for 2 years. I hated it. Had a S22 ultra but got stolen. Got a Flip 3, terrible device. Got a Flip5, got kinda boring so I thought about switching to iPhone again. Decided to give Samsung one last chance, so I got the S24 Ultra since release. I absolutely love it. Is the perfect phone. I will use it until it says its last words.
Exactly right. I've been using some budget midrange phones for years, and just now after getting my first flagship that is S24 Ultra, I don't think I can ever go back
I have finally gotten used to the bulky shape of the Ultra, ive had it for a lil over a week. And im considering getting a screen protector put on it but that would kind of remove the whole anti-glare feature the screen has baked into it and i dont wanna get a matt-screen protector either. But damn i do like this phone alot.
Just wait for a while. I got S23U last year for 600€ new during black friday. S24U will crash down in price soon enough too. It makes no sense to pay 1.5K€, no phone is worth that much. 😂
Jus got mine a few days ago was deciding between plus and ultra because i didnt like the look of the rectangle format at first but now i love it also the anti reflection screen.
What? Lmao. I think we’ve just gotten to a point where that has plateaued. Even budget phones have good calls and the option for lte calls and wifi calls. Not sure why we would stop calling it a phone because the other stuff on it is still being innovated.
Talking about call quality ( presuming you mean mic and speakers quality ) on a $1200 phone in 2024 is completely redundant when $200 chinese budget phones have excellent call quality, let alone the flagships. Innovations are happening elsewhere, we've had great call quality in all phones for a decade now.
Wish they had a note series just like the s24 plus with a pen. I didnt want to spend the extra hundreds of dollars on the ultra, coming from the flip 5, and with trade-ins not differing between ultra and s24 plus, i went with the S24 Plus and slapped a matte screen protector on it and WOW. Added a camera protector that blends in and color matches the phone and it feels so so nice to hold and is a treat to use. Hoping to get all 7 years of software updates out of this one!
Had an s23 plus and broke it while riding my bike, bought an s24 ultra. I miss the s23 plus so much. The ultra is too large and Im not really a huge fan of the square shape. Wish the plus series had a pen too. It's very nice for my job (construction) so I'm constantly downloading and marking up blue prints which is nice. But the plus feels like the sweet spot. I also use matte screen protectors.
Ngl, the anti reflective coating was a game changer for me. I switched from the note 20 ultra to the s24 ultra, and I could absolutely notice the difference. Kudos to samsung for doing this as reflections were really a big hassel to me.

I like the regular sized phones I had the 13 pro max through a gift and fuckin hated it. The cellphone weighed a ton and it wouldn’t fit in any pocket, I have the S21 and never been so happy to have a cellphone that actually has its original function Portability
The more I love the Samsung ultras, the more I hate the fact that in order to get the best Samsung you need to have a 6.8 inch beastly sized phone….I wish they would have just copied apple in this regard, like, in order to get the best iPhone you don’t have to go all in for the larger phone, you can get all the pro feature in the 6.1 inch version too, this year, 5x lens is missing, but the difference between the pro and the pro max has always been just the size, and I’m pretty sure it will continue the trend with 16 pros as well, even excluding the 5x zoom lens, 15 pro still is 98% of the pro max in a much smaller package…..I know Samsung wants to make the “ultra” a bit exclusive, as the name suggests, but from the consumer side of things, a smaller version of the same phone would have worked wonders
sure, the ultra feels nice and weighty but you're gonna put a case on it anyways. and the anti-glare screen, you'll put a screen protector on it, which will give the screen glare. the screen is big and 'square' but honestly using a tiny screen as a content consumption device when there are tablets or TVs is a huge yikes from me. overall i think the s24 is better as an EDC device because the size doesn't feel bulky.
It lasts all day with moderate usage (like 5 or 6 hours of RU-vid and social media) but if I don't use it at all it will be at like 88% by the end of the day 😂.
I used mine for like 8 hours of screen-on-time yesterday and it was at about 5% when I went to bed around 11pm. Normally though it's around 40% when I go to bed.
@@bailey2517ive done god of war chains of olympus psp emulation at 10x or max itll lag a few frames but even 8x 4k it does full speed and doesnt get hot! I keep it at 3x tho. and that barely doesnt even dent it after a hour or two mind you my old pixel xl cant even run that game lol
I want the 24+, sure the cameras are better on the ultra but realistically 90% of people will barely use them. The ultra is extremely uncomfortable in the hands and pocket, and yes I do have large hands and still think it feels bad. The s24 plus is still large but feels much better, slimmer which is better for the pocket. 4900mah battery which means battery life will be similar ( If you get snapdragon which I do cause im canadian). Same 1440p display. Same everything else really except spen.

The thing is right , if you have a 1000 + dollar phone are u going to use it without a screen protector ? No right , so the moment u get that protector on s24 ultra the anti protective won't work nd the screen will start to glare like others.
Physical build ? Look as an iPhone user my op ion doesn’t rlly matter but from what I’ve heard the s24 ultra is very pointy and digs into your palm. I personally would choose a phone with curved corners
I'm using a 200$ phone for 2 years now and I find it absurd that people spend that much on a phone... I'm a Doctor. So I fortunately have no financial issues. But I could be a billionaire and Still won't spend that much lol
Trust me, when you feel the convenience of flagship phones, you would not wanna go back. You don't need the top of the line / most expensive models too.
A better Galaxy S24 alternative is the Galaxy S24+ if you want a bigger display (that means bigger battery) if you want rounded corner instead of squared corners. And also if you don't care much about the titanium frame.
