Hi, i really like your videos! I just have two questions regarding something that you said in your video. The first one is, if it's mandatory for a non-EU doctor to work for three years in a EU country to be able to apply for the indirect recognition process, is it possible to do those three years while you work as a "resident doctor under medical supervision"? Do those 3 years have to already be done by the time you start working as that resident doctor, or can you just start working and count 3 years of that work for the indirect recognition process? And my other question is do you get paid while you work as that resident doctor under medical superivison? Thank you so much for the video, I'd love it if you could awnser me!

You must have a b2 level before you get here. Swiss German ist different from high German but many Swiss speak high German with foregneirs automatically. The only way to learn Swiss German is to be here and hear it on a daily basis. I found I could understand Swiss German after 2 to 3 months of working here. You don't have to speak Swiss German. You just have to understand it.

Now I am in Hungary and would like to get my Swiss license. so i have couple of questions : ) 1-Do i have to be in Switzerland to start the process of recognition? 2-Do i need to sign a job contract befor i start the recogintion proces to get the licence? 3-Is there an online portal on wich i can start the online process (where i upload my personal info, payment , the diploma and the B2 ÖSD language certificate that i have ect.). IT WOULD BE AMMAZING IF U MAKE A VIDEO TO EXPLAIN THE EXACT STEPS PLEASE( i tried to do it and used the link you gave in one of your videos but i did not find out how exactly the process is ) THANK U SO MUCH FOR YOUR EFFORTS MAN

@@radutodiras8196 Switzerland has 7 bilateral treaties with the EU. The treaties give Switzerland access to the internal market if Switzerland follow its rules. Also, later changes in the underlying EU directives must be accepted by Switzerland. The treaty on free movement is one of them. The EU has been making it clear for years that the prerequisite for continuing the “bilateral path”, Switzerland's participation in parts of the EU internal market through sectoral agreements, is a clarification of institutional issues, including a mechanism for settling disputes between Bern and Brussels. The EU only wants to conclude new market access agreements on the basis of this framework agreement. If there is no framework agreement, the bilateral treaties with the EU start to erode (assumption: Status Quo) and become worthless over time because they couldn't be adjusted or extended anymore. www.eda.admin.ch/europa/en/home/verhandlungen-offene-themen/verhandlungen/institutionelles-abkommen.html I'm by far not an expert but the situation with the EU isn't the best currently and the freedom of movement is very depending on good relationships between the EU and Switzerland.

Hey Radu, thank you for the video! I am a EU citizen who studied medicine in Turkey. I have several questions about the procedure. When we give away those papers for the recognition to Mebeko, which time do we have to pass the eidgenössische Prüfunfg?? As soon as they write back or after how many years are people obligated to pass the exam? How long does it take fot them to answer after giving them our curriculum? What I also couldn’t find online was, how to prepare for the EP. I know that there is a bedside exam, but is there a multi choice exam aswell? Last but not least, I would want to know, what you think about rather choosing ond of these options, since I am an EU citizen without a EU degree, I am wondering which way to choosr. 1)getting the degree recpgnised and working for 3 years in Germany and then switching to Sw. Or 2) starting to opt for Sw. Rightaway?

Hi Radu really appreciate all your work! I am an EU medical student hoping to work in the French speaking kanton Switzerland after graduation. Ive heard you mentioned in other videos how the french speaking areas are more difficult to get jobs in than the german. I have C1 level French but am wondering apart from getting my degree recognized in Switzerland, what other aspects of getting a job in Switzerland do I need to give attention to. For example should I try and do an elective out there for my resume or do you know any non-swiss doctors working in the french kanton and how they managed it? I appreciate I am bombarding you with loads of questions! Anyway, any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Love the channel :)

Hi, im curious of the same things, did you find any information regarding this?
@MT-sw8rf
@MT-sw8rf Год назад
the french speaking cantons are simply smaller, France is a big country - hence the higher competition. I would not advise you to come to switzerland at all, as all they do is to use and abuse foreign doctors to work crazy hours and be paid less than the locals, with no remuneration / free time for the overtime hours you do. If you still want to try it - do something as a student beforehand, so you can put it on your CV. it is also important which field you want to apply to - in the surgical or narrower fields it will be almost impossible for you, simply because it is a very small country and they sometimes only have just 1 specialized department in the canton. Better do your specialty training in France - a big country, with big hospitals, a lot to see and learn from and a lot to choose from, maybe a rotation in Canada or so. Switzerland is a countryside all over, people with village mentality and very restricted options when it comes to professional development. Not to mention, that a lot is done on a friendship / neighbour / nepotism basis, because everyone knows everyone else. Do not waste your time.

Belarus is not in the EU, so you are in the same position as if you studied in Sri Lanka. wasting your time if you wish to practice in the EU, might be ok if you practiced in India.
