I watched the ending blow 4 times, Rory clearly bounced Dennis's sword with his hilt and countered.

Indeed. WTF? Dennis didn't touch Rory with his sword. He just hit Rory's sword and then he supposed to lose. You can see it on 0.25 playback speed.

Van Noort seems to be a much better fighter over all. Not a lot of wasted movement. Not a lot of hopping around. Deliberate controlled movements.
