So here's a day's worth of work to try and bring some new content to this channel whilst Heavy Freight is still being worked on and my next serious project is in the scriptwriting stages. I'm hoping that The SWP Showcase can become a series of reviews for all kinds of Train Simulator content, which gives a historical overview of the real life engines behind the DLC and gives you my thoughts and feelings on the pack as well as a low down of included features.
This first episode is on the fairly new Digital Traction GWR 3300 'Bulldog' DLC. I hope you enjoy it and leave any feedback you may have, good or bad for my next attempt. You can even give me an idea of what you'd like to see come next!
You can purchase the Bulldog here:

This is fantastic, Andy! I really enjoyed that you talked about the history of the locomotives, how they feel/handle in-game plus little extras about keyboard functionality and variations. Beautiful shots as well. Please keep up with this series. And a little Clarkson thrown in is the icing on the cake. Next time borrow some random, out there quotes from Rhys. (just maybe no singing haha)

Great work Andy, it’s wonderful to have you back. I was a bit unsure about the Bulldogs, but this review really wants to make me buy them. I think you’ve got a great dynamic here: it’s factual without being boring, not too short but not too long either, great audio and music, and I love the jokes. Please keep adding Top Gear/Grand Tour lines in, it leaves me in stitches every time XD. As for a next choice of engine review, I think we would all love to see you do the Dean Goods (immediately begins drooling), but in the mean time whatever takes your fancy: there’s a lot of good new TS content on the market right now, even some of the stuff that’s been out for a while, like the N7 or SECR C Class. Keep up the good work, and once again, it’s great to have you back.

You should do the CW GCR/LNER 9N/A5 next. I can’t really give much criticism, it’s better than anything I could do. Keep up the good work.

I have to admit, when DT posted the first beta pics of the Bulldogs I was honestly less than impressed; in fact, I initially thought they looked like a step down from the quality we'd come to expect from them. But seeing them now I am quite pleased with them. Maybe not quite Caledonia Works standards, but still quite well done indeed. I'm particularly intrigued by the increasing amount of VW-style in-game customization, which I understand will be appearing on the Dean Goods too. Maybe not the top of my list, but certainly a DT product I'll look forward to adding to my collection once I have cash again... and a computer without a fried graphics card.

I like this new series Andy! The pacing seemed a little fast however, but other than that was good. (also keep the TopGear references in every episode have a diffrent one XD )

Btw, inevitable question, may as well get it out of the way: What route were you using for this review? Looks a lot like Temsby, but some elements don't quite look familiar.

Is this a mixedish traffic version of the Citys?
@SteamingWestwardsProductions
@SteamingWestwardsProductions 5 лет назад
Yeah kinda, they were built for the same purpose as the Cities originally, the express work and such but as time went on and the 4-6-0s came into service they were shoved on local passenger and freight work.
