Thank for all the vids bud. I was legit in fleet 2 days ago telling some dude in pvp chat about you and your guides.. and That if your over 35 heat you MUST USE rapid shot!
This video deserves so much more love, I have gone through 3 story modes, starting my 4th with this guide so I don’t pick a doodoo class for each character.. thank you so much ❤️
I'm so happy I found this channel. Rage Jug will be my most played Class now for Season 3 Sologrind. I even prefer doing heroics and story flashpoints with this, the lack of skipping mobs while invis doesn't even bother me, because the combat is so much fun. And spamming smash is enough AOE for me. :D
I was your 1K like for the vid. Love that you still making videos! Thanks for all your hard work but until they fix their currency, gearing and in game inflation issues in remaining outside. Love your content 🤟
That was a really good list. I usually play the specs that I enjoy playing regardless of how they perform, but it's interesting to see how specs stack up against each other.
This tier list is pretty solid and matches my experience playing different classes, however I would switch rage Jugg with Vengence Jugg. Even though vengence Jugg does insane aoe damage with cut to pieces I always do more dps on bosses with my rage Jugg. My favorite class is madness Sorc because the rotation is simple it has a lot of mobility and self-heal capabilities and it gives you a Darth Sidious experience lol However I agree with it's ranking it's a decent viable dps but nowhere near the top dps specs.
Nice to see you giving engi the props it deserves, its really underrated imo :) Id argue that it has better mobility than viru since you only need to channel SoS and the 'boss moves = :(' Thing only applies to very few bosses like Red or Nahut but very solid tierlist overall :))
I still stand by my Infilitration Shadow, it is so much fun, especially when you get the crits you need to keep mashing that Vaulting Slash button and has excellent Force management. It can even function as an OT when need be (not advised in HM/NiM content though). I managed to tank Tu'chuk in SM SnV fairly nicely when we went for a no tank run the other day.
Thanks for all the videos they make the game much more enjoyable and have piqued my interest in some classes I would have simply dismissed. Thanks man!!
I just want to say that apart from the informative content, I loved this. Gave me a few laughs and enjoyed myself. Also I was just shamelessly looking for some OP $#@%. Anyway, happily subbed. Hope I catch you streaming.
It’s a shame to hear that Arsenal(my old main) is underperforming. Yes, it was even more of a turret back in vanilla/Hutt, but the damage was there and Unload procs along with heat management was fun enough for me. Also the meta chaser excuse of “I’ve always loved this spec” was hilarious because it’s true in my case for Vig/Veng, due to the fluff reason of Form V being my favorite lightsaber style.
As a PT tank and Sage healer main this whole expac has been whiplash at its finest for me. I am glad Lethality is getting its proper dues though, it’s one of the few dps classes I can actually play and Viral Elements is always a treat.
Hey, I have been getting back into the game lately and your videos have been REALLY helpful in figuring out the new playstyles of my old characters, and which classes I might want to roll in the future. I have been curious about playing an operative or scoundrel, and am happy to see two specs in the S tier on your list, but it seems like everywhere else I look online at the moment lists them pretty low other than healing. Why do you think other people are undervaluing lethality/ruffian?
Lethality is insanely good in PvP and conc is good as well (even tho it has some mobility problems) but they are very squishy in pve and dont have any raid utility besides a raidbuff that every group should have already anyways since pretty much everyone is running with an op healer rn
@@polnischerfelgendieb4835 I'm going to try out Operative Lethality. I want something really good for PvP,, though I'm surprised it's squishy in PvE. However, since I always make sure to be quite over-level in PvE, hopefully it won't be a problem?
I have some characters that I'm currently leveling who are a bit low on your list. They have been fun to level with but I haven't done any group play or PvP with them. However, I may try one or two of the munchkin classes in S tier just out of curiosity.
THANK YOU. I started the game at the 7.0 patch/ expansion and was wondering. Literally had to create all specs to test them out. Really want to play a force user but to me their specs are dull and boring lol. Maining Agent and BH.
Another comment here for future reference, I actually really enjoy balance because I play so many other specs like lethality, virulence, concentration, its nice to sit back and actually look at the game rofl.
_SW:tOR_ & Berens MBTI List. For the Empire, the Light Side choices emphasize the Empire over the Sith. For the Republic, they emphasize the Jedi over the Republic. In MBTI terms (and the assumption that healthy characters prioritize the Light Side), this translates to the Imperial Tech class stories being Affiliative (NF & SJ), the Jedi being Introverts, the Sith as Extroverts, and Republic Tech classes being Pragmatic (SP & NT). In addition, Tech classes' dialogue, in contrast to the Force classes, prioritize talking about materials and the people in contrast to spiritual powers and a higher power. As a result, Tech classes correspond to Aligning types (Fe-Ti) and Force classes are Ordering types (Te-Fi). To further narrow it down, there are four other categories. The military Tech classes, the Trooper and Imperial Agent, are direct and give orders, making them directive (NJ & ST). The hired-gun Tech characters, the Smuggler and Bounty Hunter, are far more casual, making them Informatives (NP & SF). Furthermore, the more mage-like Force classes, the Jedi Consular and the Sith Inquisitor, primarily channel the Force or get strategic over taking extreme action (FP) while the paladin-like Force classes, the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior, will generally take executive action and make more regular use of their lightsabers (TJ). In order of recommended gameplay. *Sith Empire* Bounty Hunter: xSFJ. Sith Warrior: ExTJ. Sith Inquisitor: ExFP. Imperial Agent: xNFJ. *Galactic Republic* Jedi Knight: IxTJ. Smuggler: xNTP. Trooper: xSTP. Jedi Consular: IxFP.
Marksman is one of my favorite specs in the game, sad to see it getting so much "hate", but Vigilance is nice to play for a long time, it's like music.
I play Ruffian for pve and it surprised some of my guildmates so much they began rolling their own. They told me at first that it's not a typical spec for pve, but I originally came from ESO where DoTs reign supreme for damage in PVE and PVP is where you typically where you want burst. It's interesting to see how it's flipped for swtor and I suspect it has something to do with ESO's crit resistance in pvp.
I'm returning to the game after a LONG time (last time I played the level cap was 55). So I wanted to learn what to go for. Good news is I have an unfinished lethality operative and sawbones smuggler. Although I remember sawbones always being good. Even back then in PVP I would dominate because sawbones healing is just so good. Just call 3 kolto probes down and kolto cloud and you'll be good to go lol. I haven't played a Jedi Knight yet so good to know I'll be going for concentration. Currently playing through sith warrior as vengeance juggernaut. Yes cut to pieces is very very very fun
I don't care if they suck, arsenal and marksman are still 2 of my favorite ranged tech specs. I love marksman because it actually uses the weapon for mostly all attacks and arsenal gets a great mix of using the blasters and gadgets.
im surprised you put sin tank above jugg, i have always thought sin was better than jugg fundamentally but the 2 second shroud on stealth instead of 3 and the capped 3 second shroud on the ability without longer shroud tactical has really made it feel so much weaker for me. Jugg though they cant cheese plenty of things just brings so much to the table with the aoe that gives everyone dr including the other tank, you can make those stack to 20% if you bring a jugg and a guardian too btw.
Man, it's hard to see that so many of my favorite specs are in a bad place now. I loved playing Sharpshooter sniper and my Arsenal rocket turret back in the mid 2010s. I also hate what they did to some of the animations, like why did the replace the beauitful railshot ability in Arsenal with some generic old gunslinger animation? At least my beloved Veng Juggernaut and Anni Marauder are crushing it.
Very informative video, a pity that sniper class were one of the worst, they are my favorite because of the cover mechanic, which could've in all tech classes.
Really appreciate the list. I joined swtor over 6months ago, been playing wow since vanilla. Love swtor, the classes and gameplay are wonky but the game is good. It's hard to figure out classes and what feels good. My first class I made was a sentinel and I LOVE it. I had no idea it was so good compared to others, I love it. I'm trying commando but I just can't get in to it. Playing as strictly DPS so far.
Wow fury is now the top of the food chain? When i returned for 7.0 i didnt like how they removed some skills felt so limiting compared to previous builds so i left the game again, perhaps i should try it again to level my marauder fury to max level and gear him properly, after all fury is my fav class of all time.
Love this tearlist for 2 reasons: 1. I LOVE TIERLISTS 2. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS With that been said, thanks for this Video and maybe keep it updatet, as some specialities are gonna get buffed or nerfed. So Please, bringt new tearlists once in a while.
I just can't imagine how they tested Fury/ Concentration before release and thought this is fine. I know the game is held together by ducktape so they probably don't do extensive testing, but only 10 mins of playing it should make it clear that this spec is way too strong. When I get frustrated in PVP because I'm performing badly with another spec I just switch to Fury and suddenly I seem like a good player.
Funny. On swtor release i lvled both sith warriors to max lvls (anni and veng) and dropper sith Assassin at 40ish. My friend played operative (oneshotted ppl from stealth). And now 10 or 12 years later when i come to play a little (thx to tv shows ofc) they are all op xD Ps: always hated sith warriors 3rd specs. 2 buttons pewpew xD
ive watched this before i started lvling my assassin jedi as bastila shen becuase i always wanted to come back after 7 years, anyways thought id say thanks!
