the cars were run to 1980 specs - they were illegal for the 1981 season, so none of that mattered nelson finished 2nd in the australian grand prix at calder, so he would have scored 6 points from that and still won the title, if illegal cars were allowed to score points

@@fedecasares If, if, if, there is no evidence that Williams sabotaged him, sadly we know F. Wiliams' philosophy regarding his drivers well, and Alan Jones was more liked by Frank. There is no doubt that Reuteman also deserved to win the world championship, but Piquet also deserved it in 1980, but then Jones won.

Habria que pedirle a la FIA que compute esta carrera como válida al justo ganador Carlos Alberto Reutemann otorgandóle los puntos de vencedor y se le conceda el Campenato Mundial de Pilotos injustamente "Robado" ya que fué el que mas puntos logró ese año 81 incluida esta carrera de Sudáfrica que venció de forma magistral. Donde no conforme con eso inventan sobre la hora una carrera 17 en una playa de estacionamiento improvisada y resien ahí pierde la punta el "Lole".
This race of South Africa 1981 indeed should not account for the points of the WDC, and it should not be worth because It did not participate there Renault, Ferrari, Ligier and Alfa Romeo - strong teams too. In the sum of points of the 1981 f1 World championship, never Renault and Ferrari would Accept points of 15 races, meanwhile Williams would add points of 16 races. All teams wanted the title as well, the title of the f1 constructors. That's the sport, nothing fairer. Who doesn't agree?
Yo no estoy de acuerdo!! Del propio relato de Murray Walker, inclusive de los comentarios de James Hunt, se sobreentendía que la carrera era válida por los puntos y por el campeonato de F1 de 1981. Si Renault, Ligier, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, y Osella no querían correr porque no querían validar el uso de los deflectores móviles porque no les convenía a sus autos, allá ellos; multa económica y quita de puntos. La mayoría de los equipos se presentaron. Renault, Ligier, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, y Osella... a llorar a la iglesia!!! REUTEMANN LEGITIMO CAMPEON DE LA FORMULA 1 DE 1981!!
