It really is a miracle this got completed. It's a travesty it never went to Kingsford though. It would never have been built from the outset just to go to as far as it did.
James French I think they ended it at Bondi Junction because it was decided as an easier terminus point. Then again, customers can connect with buses to link up with other parts of the Eastern Suburbs.
hey guess what? even though the screen says the Kiama service stops at Helensburgh after Redfern, well every train stops at hurstville, so it will stop at hurstville, it will also stop at Sutherland and waterfall as well, I think they're trying not to get people to use the Oscar trains for switching from station to station, they're trying to get people to get on those trains for long distances, not just from Wolli Creek to Hurstville e.g. so technically they're tricking people.
hasley drollet Bondi Junction is also linked to South Coast line services, since they run through the Illawarra line anyway, and due to Sector 1 being isolated from the rest of the network, it’s mostly easier to have South Coast line services go to and from Bondi Junction instead of Central Sydney Terminal.
SydneyAirportCapturer HL Yeah, quite a tarnished rep. There was ones like T99 having a driving car (D6274) getting scrapped after the Vineyard level crossing incident, or when G7 had her life ended by the 2003 Waterfall disaster.
I don’t think there is “ a loop “ behind there, they are terminating tunnels that don’t go very far...a Sydney train driver I often speak to advised me 😀
