The Sydney Tramway Museum held its annual Vintage Tramway Festival on Sunday 25th February 2024 featuring trams from Sydney, Ballarat, Melbourne and Brisbane. Sydney O Classes 805 and 1111 ran as a coupled set, with other Sydney trams being R1 2001 and P 1497. Victorian trams were represented by Ballarat tram No 37 and Melbourne W2 Class 495 with Brisbane trams represented by Dropcentre tram 295. A number of other work vehicles also made cameo appearances.
Due to track upgrades, trams were unable to run along the National Park Line so all trams ran on the Sutherland Line to a very frequent schedule.
The Sydney Bus Museum provided a "tram replacement" service to Sutherland and to the Visitor Centre of the National Park.
Red Set F1 also ran two services bringing patrons to and from Loftus.
The variety of trams, the frequency of running and the beautiful summer's day made for a very enjoyable day for the large numbers of attendees.
