3:37 Tram #154 is an L/P class tramcar of the former Newcastle fleet(1923-1950). I spotted this tram carrying the destination sign for Broadmeadow in its side destination display when I was last at the Tramway museum in December, 2019.
Great video. I have visited this museum on many occasions in the past, though only once on their current site, while up there in 2000. I actually moved from Sydney to Melbourne back in 1981. My best memories of the museum visits were at the old site, prior to the closure of the National Park trains.
Ah, now I get it! This uphill slope is at the Sutherland tram terminus end. No wonder I hadn't recognised it. In the visits I had, most times the trams only went as far as the gates into the military base.
4:13 Whaa-aa-aa-aat? #154 showing Brighton-Le-Sands? After me just explaining 154 was ex-Newcastle? At the point I made my first comment, in this video 154 was showing Merewether Beach as its destination.
@@youtubeviewer7030 The last visit I made, they were working on the line out to the Sutherland stop, so the tram only ran to the gate at the entrance to the military ground.
