Cannot WAIT for Sylux’s theme in Prime 4!! His Hunters theme is such a BANGER. I think we may have gotten a quick tease of it in the reveal. There’s a sick guitar riff that plays as Sylux walks in at the end of the trailer.
Please let him be a compelling villain in Prime 4. Thats all I want. He's already my favorite of the Prime Hunters characters, make him something really badass and memorable 6/18/24 EDIT: Holy fuck they delivered and then some. Him showing up tailed by Metroids and leading the pirates was everything I wanted
Lol I've known for a while that orchestra and rock mix beautifully. This would fit sylux perfectly. The string instruments capture a maniacal, maybe even psychopathic feel. Then with the heavy drums and guitar expressing anger and outrage, it would fit Sylux if he turns out to be an anti-villian/anti-hero of sorts.
Maybe Sylux is going to try weaponizing the Metroids which will explain why the Federation will want Samus to exterminate the Metroids in Metroid 2. Prime 4 might lead perfectly into Metroid 2.
@Fiery Francis Oh? I haven't heard that theory. I'd be cool with it, tho. One last remnant of the Prime era rearing its ugly head at the end of the timeline. That'd be dope.
Honestly, not many people would agree with me but, I kinda hope that we get to switch back and forth between Sylux and Samus. Some chapters we play as Samus, and other chapters are played as Sylux. And finally at the end we choose whom we play as.
That's a really interesting concept. Though I'd like it if that happened once Sylux gets fleshed out a bit more. I'm honestly hoping that he's more of a morally grey character than flat-out evil, because he's got lot's of potential as a character and rival to Samus if they write him well.
I've spent this past month looking for this song. Heard a GBA sound font awhile back and it reminded me of the main part, and I kept scrambling through GBA games' OSTs to find it. I thought, maybe Ultimate Spider-Man? Metroid Fusion's final boss? Somewhere in Zero Mission? Then it just dawned on me randomly-Prime Hunters on the DS. The sound chip on that thing was NOT optimized for when Hunters came out lmao
I hope that when you inevitably get to fight him in Prime 4, it's at least as intense as fighting him in MPH's multiplayer. The energy siphoning Shock Coil, speeding around in Lockjaw form, triangulating and chaining tripwire mines, and bomb jumping through the air.
That feel when you have to wait so long for Metroid Prime 4, you make up a crazy headcanon that Sylux was the true identity of the Deleter from Metroid Other M to justify why he just straight-up stopped showing up in the metroid universe. Source: my wandering mind
Out of curiosity, think you can remake the other Hunter's themes? I know they're just the same with different variations, but they're all so unique and fitting for each of them.
Honestly same, Prime 1 isn't in the need of a remake any more than Hunters. They could expand on Hunters' single player a lot and make it a proper Metroid game.
I have a hunch but I think he doesn't like them because they have a connection with the Chozo. All the Metroid titles apart from MOM have made a connection to the Chozo's actions.
