Freya: I like you, and I want you. Now we can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way, the choice is yours. Bell: I don't think we'll be doing anything any kind of way. Freya: So I see you're choosing the hard way.
some really sad stuff is skipped here, and i dont know for sure, but i feel it says alot about how freya probably feels about her love with bell "my heart aches. i yearn for you to hold me. im so sick of agonizing over what tomorrow has in store.." "i never even wanted to experience this" "i should've just done it from the start." probably so she wouldnt have to experience the heartbeaking pain of getting rejected i feel freyas never actually had REAL love, and she wants it desperately cause of bell. 1:27 im sure that this smirk is hiding alot of pain and sadness she really hoped to have a genuine relationship with him, cause thats what she wants. thats why she made this syr alter ego. but cause of this rejection, she has to resort to doing inexcusable things
You are right... When she impersonated Syr, she "really was Syr". Her behavior was genuine... In this episode Bell destroyed everything good in her, namely Syr. As a result... she went crazy... Freya is right. "Syr is dead"... And it was Bell who killed her...
I always suspected there was more to Syr than met the eye, but I never suspected this. I originally assumed she was a spy for Freya, sent to keep an eye out for potential adventurers Freya may want to join her familia.
Peak is about to go down Was confusing for a bit but then again there's a whole bunch of times someone transforms or disguised themselves freya really playing good and bad to get bell
@skyMcWeeds Yeah, and yet I still couldn't figure out Even though the novel, manga, and even the game ( danmachi memory ) have many event stories also shows many hints And it still took me to notice it until I read the end of the novel vol. 16 to realise that Syru isn't just a random waitress, but it was Freya herself who was there to support Bell
Among Bell Cranel's love interests, I believe Syr deserves him the most because she has always supported him from the start (besides Hestia, of course). Should go for MILF route. 🤣 Also, I can't wait for another familia battle. It's one of the reasons I love watching this anime.
That same logic applies to the guild receptionist tho, syr doesnt really give bell actual help she just trying to be likeable to bell becase she can see bell’s soul
This episode (until freya reveal) was fking Re:Zero all over again. Rem confessing her feelings to Subaru just for him to turn her down. Am not the only one that wanted to break down?!?!?!
danm That's hurt me A LOT knowing she (Syr) is a true figure of goddess Freya and Now his second figure with his possessiveness she will forcefully taking Bell LoL 🤧
I don't think people give Ottarl enough credit here. Normally whenever Freya decides on something, he would reply "at once" without question but ever since the start of the season, we saw that Ottarl has been questioning Freya's choices lately which shows when he keeps asking "are you sure" or "are you okay with this?". It really shows he understands Freya better than anyone in the familiar and doesn't want her to make bad choices but unfortunately is compelled to follow her decisions.
Well we don't about that. According to the Danmachi lore, the gods has lived for roughly a billion years so there's no telling what she's been through in heaven to say this is the first time, she's been in love.
I'mma be honest, actually i liked Syr and Freya a lot. Especially her time as Syr. Freya always wanted to be released from the shackles tying her as a goddess. the very reason she asked to take real Syr's name and truly lives in the lower world. rather than an act, Syr is closer to the real Freya than even she herself realised (was conveyed later in the novel). although there's the deranged and kind of perverted part of her which not gonna lie is dangerous..but, even so,i still think she's good
spirits and gods in Danmachi cannot bear children ( but Ais origins story is quite an exception ) due to this.... spoilers.... ... ... ... ... ... ... Syr (Freya) is pushing Ryuu to conceive a child with Bell, and she has her blessing
Well i am not sure but i think its due to how pure and innocent bells soul is. Tbh its not confirmed who he end up with at all but i think its gotta be Ais
@@nikhilrai9609 That and the fact that he is not affected by her charm. She feels that if Bell does love her, it is real and is not affected by her charm ability as deity. To sum it up, she can only have her true love without interference with Bell
I realy like Syr (Freya ) . in this episode Syr ( Freya ) is above all Bell love intrests . i am sad that Syr is no more . Freya is a Godes . she does not care about mortals . Freya do not love Bell . obsession is not love . know your limits .
This makes no sense at all in episode one I saw Syr talking to Freya, then in episode two Freya was up on stage while Syr was with Bell this makes no sense at all what’s going on?
the Syr from the start of season 1 has always been Freya in disguise the goddess Freya we all saw is Horn roleplaying as the goddess so that no one outside the Freya familia knows that the true Freya is living as a human girl waitress. there had been plenty of hints throughout the show that Syr is Freya all along.
Yup, she was the original Syr but she eventually gave up that name and identity to become Horn and allows Freya to masquerade as "Syr" while she pretends to be Freya to hide that fact....
Sorry, i'm a bit confused: Is Syr Freya since day 1? I don't get the whole interaction sequence with both of them tho... I didn't rewatched previous seasons, but, if Syr is Freya, what was the scene where Syr goes to Freya to make... A bet? I'm lost. Does that mean Syr don't exist anymore? Please, some help, i definitely miss some parts here.
Syr is Freya since Day 1, the Syr who made a bet with Freya who also went on the whole date and slept with Bell is the imposter woman who tried to kill Bell with the dagger but failed, idk her name. Freya is the real Syr.
@@FracturalActually, the Syr who went on the entire date with Bell, including spending the night with him, was Freya herself. The only time Horn impersonated Syr was the next morning, when Bell came looking for Syr and realized something was off. In the scene where "Syr" asks Freya for permission, it was actually Horn disguised as Syr (Freya even remarks on her surprise that Horn took on this form), seeking a chance to confront Bell. Driven by her own motives, Horn wanted to eliminate Bell, fearing that Freya’s love for him might effect Freya's goddess status.
Oh... Ok. But, it means, all the times Syr was doing job at café, and all talks & encounters she got since her "character" was introduced, it was Freya? Syr never existed tho? Dang... This goddess has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much freetime to mess around.
I'm glad I stopped watching this anime when I did, back in season 3. Because this is far too big of a plot twist to be believable, and Syr was the kind of character you just can't hate.
In her defense she's a goddess of love and possess divine charm the reason she masquerades as Syr is because she wants Bell to fall in love with her without any of that interfering
after watching i need explanations about freya and syr and horn, we aldy seen syr and freya be at different places and even interact with each other so ye confusing who is syr and who is freya originally or who is real or fake etc
Horn's original name was Syr when Freya found her as a small child she asked Syr what she wanted and Syr said "to be you" basically Syr sold her name to Freya so that she could turn into her and vice versa Freya has been the Syr we've seen Bell interact with since episode one
The relationships between Freya, Syr, and Horn can definitely be confusing but here’s how it breaks down: -Syr is actually an identity created by Freya after exchanging one of her alias with the original Syr (who is now Horn). Freya uses magic to disguise herself as Syr, allowing her to live among mortals without the overwhelming aura and authority that comes with her goddess status. So the "Syr" we see interacting closely with Bell is actually Freya in disguise. Syr is a persona Freya adopted to experience a more grounded, human life. -Horn is a devoted member of Freya’s familia and deeply loyal to Freya. Horn has the ability (bestowed by Freya) to transform herself into either Syr or Freya. This allows Freya to live as Syr while Horn manages the familia in Freya place. However, Horn doesn’t impersonate Syr regularly, her main appearance as "Syr" is when she tries to confront Bell in this episode, driven by her own worries about Freya's changing behavior due to her feelings for Bell.
@@skylergaming6265 From the very beginning in season 1, when Bell first encountered Syr, it has indeed been Freya in disguise. However, Syr’s interactions, friendships and especially her love for Bell are genuine. These feelings reflect Freya’s deep desire to experience the freedom of mortal life without the heavy responsibilities that come with being a goddess, what she calls the “goddess’s shackles” (as mentioned in episode 1). Through Syr, Freya found an escape from her divine role and could express her love in a way that felt sincere and unburdened. When Bell ultimately rejects her as Syr, Freya loses herself to her impulses, choosing to bury the Syr persona and return to her cold, commanding goddess nature, determined to claim Bell by force. But her love for him is no act since it’s deeply rooted in her true feelings, as she has been searching for her “true love” (Odr)/ her own hero for a very long time, a theme emphasized near the end of their date on the Hero Bridge in episode 3 of season 5.
@@ginocanterino258 by your Logic it's like saying someone made an anime about a 3yo getting freaky with a 30yo but since it's an anime it ain't that Bad 💀
@@toniodoumbia8483 you're right it's not bad at all because those are fictional characters, nothing more than drawings, not real people. Age only matters for real people in the real world, not for inanimate objects such as fictional characters.
I hate Bell...I hate too much Bell... Syr is better than anyone... Syr is different from Freya, them have only the same body... but Bell have to go for Aiz... go to hell Bell.
@@lordvalvatorez5386 Boy, he literally saw Aiz as the first women and fell in love with her like crazy... Syr instead? From behind the scenes she was the girl who probably did the most... Syr would be like the ideal girl but oh well... Bell is this... an annoying being who is forced by the creators to remain incidental and with blinkers
