love this video, the fact that it's a surprisingly tame system, paired with the fact that it's night time, and that low quality digital camera quality all make it a really cool video to watch
What's weird about you heard a car alarm sounding in march time, my dad's BMW E60 car alarm is also march time, and it sounds like the Gentex GOS (Gentex GOS can't do march time well). I guess the car alarm is actually Gentex, because the car's rear view mirror is also Gentex.
+NewAgeServerAlarm "Its a car alarm that does marchtime." Mine does 120bpm marchtime! I like it SO much better than other kinds of coding patterns for car alarms.
That Commander 3 matches the living room really nicely! Nice work! Also, I’m pretty sure some of the Gentex SHG alarms have march time issues like that GOS. S.E.R. Safety had some issues with his SHG.
The Gentex SHG Series has Problems with Other Codings. I have to put it on Steady with my Ms-5UD because if not the Horn Sounds like it's gonna blow up. Also, I'm kinda surprised you were able to Code the UMMT to Steady because I can't do that with my UMHU which is Essentially the Same thing it just doesn't have other Tones. Nice video!
You know, the garage section looks and sounds very similar to what Boone Grove Middle School has. The 8700 pull station looks similar to a few of the pulls that the school has. Plus, the UMMT that you had in there on continuous sounds exactly like the school has. It's really annoying and loud during a fire drill, but I'm now at the high school and their fire drills are funny in a way. I'm not going to say why!
Because low frequency sounders are good if your sleeping low frequency sounders can wake you easily so you don't wake up in the middle of a hpouse fire
i'd put i9n a differant system that sounds more like a traditional fire alarm, i like the old school bell sound particularly, more subtle, and isnt as ear piercing as that was lol.
@NewAgeServerAlarm Yeah, OK, now I understand, it all makes sense, people with hearing impairments may hear certain frequencies better than others, also I've heard that very young children don't hear smoke alarms well when they're sleeping, there have been articles about it in the news. My concern with strobes is that they could cause people with photosensitive Epilepsy to have a seizer, that's the last thing you want to happen in an emergency.
@NewAgeServerAlarm I think the GOS may not be compatible at all with march time. Videogamer24385 tried to do march time with his GOS set on whoop and it still had that same problem. Its just my guess. P.S. Nice system test too!
Joshua Reardon I heard it too. I wonder if it's the loud sound of the Commander 3 causing some slight issues with the camera's audio recording system, but none of the other sounders cause or generate that buzzing noise, so who knows, it may be the Commander 3 actually making that sound.
Well I heard the Gentex GXS is a good alarm to but the strobe isn't very bright when it flashes maybe my best advice to you is to fix the strobe so that it can flash brighter
