@@StriKe_jk true, but it is a movie. and for all we know they could have heavily modified the tank. They also had a guy saying the lords prayer the whole time. I have heard a lot of stories of people who have said hymns, or said certain prayers and they were rescued/ saved from an exploding ship sealed shut by bombs for example.

But unrealistic a pz gr 39 round will go straight through the t34 85 and the t34 85 can't penetrate the frontal plate of a panther at any angle not enless if it's an over head shot
@@ArctrooperHavoc True, but Panther frontal armor had a weak spot which was the machine gun slot and T 34 was aiming, maybe you did not notice, exactly there.
@@mecho68 he hit the drivers sight even though the driver's sight is supposed to remain closed and the driver would be looking out of a secondary sight much smaller in these type of engagements also the driver would be relying on orders from the commandant
There are several errors in the scene for example _ both the German and the Russian optics have misconfigured distances since the panther is at 800 meters and the Russian at 800 or 500 meters and it is more than clear that the combat occurs at a maximum of 100 or 150 meters _ as always the German tanks always run towards their opponents when in reality it was easy for the Panther to knock out the T-34 without moving from the bridge with 1 or 2 shots _ The T-34 could penetrate the Panther's turret at that distance without much difficulty
interesting that you take realism into account when there's a prayer going inside of a T34/85 and a Panther getting thrown off of a bridge. say how about you write another essay on why Fury is unrealistic instead?
This is a movie. I think it wouldn't be interesting if two main characters in the movie didn't have an epic standoff. Also,in the movie,German commander says that he wants to capture Russian tank commander,not destroy him,and thats why he shot at his tracks..
What is wierd about this is that Panther gunner is aiming above when he could have just shoot the front hull. Which is IDK why but it cannot pen it when it most certainly will at that range.
Doesn‘t even need to pen it. The way they produced their steel made it hard but more prone to shattering due to it being less flexible. The hull could‘ve at least cracked and severely Injured on the first shot. (Again, all of this under the assumption that somehow, at this range neither of them can pen which is unrealistic in of it self.)

@@mathieuschafer1360 The thing is: The directors of the movie wanted to show the viewer the horrors and tragedy of war, this movie wasn't supposed to be a ultra realistic depiction of tank warfare, tanks are used here as a narrative tool, everyone who keeps saying that Fury is american propaganda or a bad movie because of its historical inaccuracy, apparently didnt watch a movie at all or just completly missed the point of the movie
Many times it's been the other way around also t34 can't penetrate the panthers front armor while even when a t34 angles a pzgr 39 will go straight through causing amo,fuel,and the crew to be destroyed and transmitter and engine would be gon

my tank refuses to move at all in Wot/Warthunder when the tracks are gone meanwhile this crew keeps going and throws the enemy tank off the damn bridge-
i mean also by momentum; let me explain, say the t-34 was going 10kph when the collision happened, it would have the momentum of 340kph/tonne and lets say the panther was going 1 kph, it would have the momentum of 51kph/tonne that means the t-34 had way more momentum (yes i know i probably messed something up but the answer is still momentum)

Looks like a war thunder game: panthers that can't pen frontal t-34, t-34 drifting without completely ripping tracks, braindead german, hatch snipe on the move, stabilizers that shouldn't exist or work and, ultimately, Russia winning no matter what. Both game and movie are made by russians. Coincidence? I think not.
