Its possible. There was definitely something going on. Also... Sometimes things happen in peoples lives that change their desire to be great. Maybe HUE's time is up and its just simple as that. It happens. I felt the same about BOB STOOPS a year or so before he retired. It happens. Peoples focus changes for reasons we dont know. SHAKE N 6AKE!

Speak For Yourself TJ is spot on, it was Haley that was the snake. Haley wanted the gig to try and parlay into permanent. I thought when Hue was fired that Haley was the interim. That’s some great analysis.

@@detroittigers1282 I didnt hear that one until now. Yes that is very suspicious for someone to automatically assume they would get the gig when Hue is gone. Not if... but when. I agree how that sounds like it could have been Todd behind the internal conflict and why he was fired as well. But this is just assumption. Should we really care at this point? I dont think so. Its all done and over... and doesnt even effect us as fans.

Bigg X Yea it’s just interesting and makes me feel more for Hue. I’m unfortunately a Lions fan so I don’t have a dog in this race. Also the Steelers parted ways with Haley despite finishing third in total offense last year, also had an altercation at a bar with a fan last year. He’s basically a loose cannon, it’ll be interesting see where he goes next especially if stuff is verified with him going behind Hue’s back and creating the friction with Baker.

What Chris Santos said. While Hue didn't specifically name Baker, he did undercut him with other comments by saying he would have rather had this player or that player. That of itself is a dig at the organization because he didn't get his way. As far as there being a snake in the organization, Hue shouldn't have put himself in a position for a snake to operate. Coaches and departmental staff need to be on the same page and work in unison. You saw it on Hard Knocks the contention between coaches about veteran days off and Hue was very adamant about they were going to do things his way and there was no room for discussion.

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!!!! Somebody said it! How did Todd Haley get out of Cleveland 'Scott Free"? That man sabotaged Hue and got to leave without taking a hit to his character. THANK YOU T.J. Todd Haley was CLEARLY the snake and the cause for all the drama with Hue. I love Marcellus and James' faces when T.J. said it out loud... lol! GT Crain, baker showed his true colors several times in college when he got hit hard, late or someone trash talked him or he trash talked someone and they talked back....hes a wanna be bad boy. People booed him and he gave the middle finger on national television because his feelings was hurt but know he's in the NFL where lineman are quick off the ball and will hit late, get ejected and pay a fine with no problem. Also remember this, the NFL is known for their bounties on players.

Hue took the job when no one else wanted it. The team was rebuilding and lack of control of personnel. Many the losses were his fault but it also has to do with management. For all this I feel he was somewhat of a scape goat. I have respect for the man as a person.

People also don't seem to realize that Hue isn't making any extra money by coaching for the Bengals. The Browns owed him 4 million dollars this year for terminating his contract. The Bengals are paying him 275 thousand. Because Hue took another job, the Browns can deduct his salary from what they owe him. So, he's still just making the same 4million dollars he would've made if he had just stayed home.

Baker isn't one of a kind lol there have been and are super emotional qb's in the NFL. It's just his brashness has not hindered his accomplishments to this point, so he'll keep running his mouth. BUT if/when he starts taking L's and the spotlight for those L's is pointed on him, you may see a more quiet NFL qb.

Before Baker show up at Cleveland, I never knew the NFL had a Browns team. Even at OU one camera was focused on Baker even on the sideline. I like how you guys handled this. Finally some composure about something that shouldnt matter. CUDOS However... Didnt we all hear HUE say "there is a lot of competition at the QB position"? Didnt we also hear HUE say "Its TYRODS JOB so stop asking me because your going to get the same answer"? So Im wondering here how there is competition when BAKER was never allowed to compete for the job. There was no competition. To me, that sounds fake. Just saying words with no weight.

Exactly. Hue would go on and on about how Tyrod was the leader of the team and far superior; however, when he was asked if Baker would get any reps with the 1s, he said, 'No. no, no, no...." He was asked why and Hue said that because the offense was new to Tyrod, he needed every snap he could get so he could learn it. He was asked about the possibility of Tyrod getting hurt and wouldn't it be good if the back up had at least a few snaps with the 1s and Hue told them to stop asking him about it. What happens? Tyrod got hurt and Baker had to take over. It really sounded more like Hue was afraid to let Baker have any experiences with the 1s because they would see how good he really is. Baker said everything right to publicly back Hue's plan of him sitting for a year and learning from Drew Stanton. He heaped praise on Tyrod in presser after presser. Hue would say (on Hard Knocks) that Baker was in a qb battle, but he refused to let Baker compete. He even dogged Baker on camera for showing up 2-3 hours early just because Tyrod had a schedule he liked.

it still points towards Todd Haley like TJ said in the segment........ We all saw the obvious power struggle between Jackson and Haley..... Any coach i think would've started Taylor based off experience alone....... Why bring in QB(Taylor) if you guys knew you were gonna draft a QB(Mayfield)?????? We also know Jackson shoulda been fired before the season even started..... So its not far fetched to see Haley was on his "littlefinger" quest of being headcoach......... Could it be because he didn't start? Sure could...... However if another is in your ear feeding your ego that you should've been the starter??....... Now its a matter of letting the chips fall........ TJ literally said what alot of others are thinking however we know to whom much is given much is required........ The firing of both said it all of a power struggle...... And Haley's remark warranted him being the invisible hand but meh......... I like Baker and his game and like shannon sharpe said its nothing wrong with speaking your mind, but you don't have to speak on everything..... I think it's clear what happened. You had a losing head coach, who I think based on what I heard from him on Hard Knocks said some dumb stuff and didn't seem too interested in getting feedback from his other coaches or changing what he was doing, and those coaches thought they could do a better job so they ratted on Hue.

True, but entire hard knocks showed that Hue was not able to handle the situation. Todd Haley and Greg Williams are some tough, hard-opinioned dudes to work with. If you are not coming up with a 100 percent coherent plan and assertive way of doing things, they will smell that and question you. The two coordinaters were just clearly more competent than the HC. And everybody knew this. It is hard to keep your cool when you know better and are dealing with a HC that has done nothing but lose games.

I am wondering what happened to in the last game before Hue and Todd were fired. In that game Tyrod Taylor put on his helmet to go in to game, but somehow, the Coaches put Baker back in. We don't know what happened behind the scenes.

Mayfield is confident in himself. Hue actually treated his players well. I truly believe it is because of making him not the day 1 starter. My thoughts. Staff set Hue up to fail. Grimy. Tell it TJ.

M W LOL! Name one. Jackson brought this on himself, and most of the Browns players feel exactly like Baker does. Every Brown player is 100% behind Mayfield and won’t put up with anyone trying to “give him what is coming to him”.
