In this video I go over my final Transmission build and a successful run. We ran the T-maxx for a good 15-20 minutes HARD with NO issues!! Thing's a Beast! Thanks for watching, Hope you all enjoyed!
Just got done doing same after the fact watched a video. I think your right alot of people over think it ez 2 just do. Gets rid of a lot of junk all that rotating mass gone. Simpler then rebuilding or parting 2gether a oem job 4 sure
Great job man hope its still running i watched your entire serries through the build ans finally got mine together today I'm running a 6s 180amp esc and 2150 kv motor this things literlly rips never had a rc car like it thanks for being the only video that helped me figure this out
Thanks for this comment! I really appreciate the support and kindness. I'm extremely happy that this helped you with your project! That was the whole point of me doing this series and trying my best to explain the process I took.
This is what I'm wanting to do to my T-Maxx, but with its grey gearbox. I bought the "single speed" and "forward only" kits, but they don't fit... I've since learnt there's a different one for the grey gearbox. Glad it's worked out for you!
nice video 👍 glad it's up and running as long as the mesh has a litte play should be fine will sound funny at first because of the metal to metal gears but it has some torque I like the setup
Rc Fun thanks man! Yea the mess does have a little play in it. It does sound a bit funny! LOL... I just don't want to jack up the pinion or spur gear... I don't have any replacements on hand and they cost a bit more than plastic lol.
Hey I'll go ahead and buy that conversion kit from you if you still have it 😅I was following your steps on the video until I came across the fact that you said that black transmissions are for that conversion and yeah
What "plate" were you talking about needing to get to use the single speed shaft because it lacks the role pin hole. I too have installed that gearset and would like to mount a sour gear. Thank ya sir!
Solved. After looking at the old style and new style input shafts I realized that the shaft diameters and location of the gear locating pins was the same, so I removed the pins and swapped the correct gear on the updated slipper shaft. I never found a "plate" for this though. Hope this helps.... Matt
Ebay, Amazon, walmart website it runs around $40. Not the greatest but it works...on side note it's not 100% waterproof, i found more than one person that had issues with the esc after it got wet but otherwise it does the trick. Good luck!!
I am converting my t-maxx to electric. I followed your tranny instructions but am totally lost on what you did to the spur gear. My transmission looks just like the original 1 from the outside. It looks like a giant slipper clutch? Also, what did you do for the brakes/ reverse?
@@joshuadulaney5559 I have since gotten a 3s Typhon n had a crazy 2650kv motor off this car and a 6s esc but I used to run it on 3s mostly but went 6s for speed runs n completely blew up both diffs
