You can't compare Pac to Kendrick, just Pac's family history separates him from many. Pac would of rocked with Kendrick though, because he stands for something.
No he didn't,, he got robbed and shot in new york,, then went to rikers island for a rape case !!! Anybody knows if u go to jail on some rape shit u are food!!! Niggaz did pac dirty on rikers island because he was papers for rape allegations,, that made him hate new york,, pac ain't even have bail money bro,, Suge had to bail pac out , but in return pac had to sign to deathrow and show his loyalty.. Everyone knows pac was a Nas fan he studied it was written !! And that was said by kurupt.. Pac know who shot him , but it was real street Brooklyn niggaz and pac couldn't get a them so he took it out on new york rappers,, that's a sucker move in our book!!!
Tupac’s legacy is all about influence. We still discuss him every other day and he’s been gone for decades. Kinda speaks for itself. He wrote changes when he was 16 and it’s still relevant now. Really can’t get more impactful as an artist.
I cant even get into any of these new rappers, Including Kendrick Lamar, or none of them. It just doesnt do it for me. Tupac spoiled us. He was SO FAR ahead of everyone that all these other rappers just dont even come close. Truth was spoken here in this video
Are you not a hip-hop fan? I understand a lot of the current rappers aren’t up to par, but did you not mess with other rappers outside of Pac in general?
Tookie is 1 of the founders of crip who made crips in the spirit of the panther party ... Fred Hampton was a black panther party member who was killed in cold blood by the pigs.. Put him up there with malcom x & huey fa sho
I mean when Pac said "I ain't a killa but don't push me revenge is like the sweetest joy next to getting pu**y" that says it all right there he slayed it how many rappers could have came up with a verse like that!!!!!
@@Xannyphantom905 Just part of my generation,I'm sure some have you know more about todays rappers then I do as you say I'm an old head I'm just expressing myself youngster no harm done!!!
@@sonnyblack71 I wasn't talking about today's rappers, I was talking about rappers from the 80s and 90s. Kool G Rap smokes tupac lyrically. MF Grimm, Lord Finesse, Mos Def, Black Thought, Wu Tang, the list goes on man. If you from the south and don't know, I understand, but lyrics go far beyond anything tupac has ever written in his life.
@@Xannyphantom9052pac the goat and destroyed all those rappers u just named on ur list u can't compare nun those rappers too 2pac they wasn't on pacs level not even close the numbers don't lie and we know people as spoken because the world know 2pac those guys or limited to the east coast
Think about what Tupac achieved by 25. Multiple masterpiece albums. His life was nearly taken with 5 gun shots. Incarcerated unfairly. Went against Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z all at the same time. Was outselling them all. It’s genius level talent. A true genius! His story telling is unmatched! Forget rap. Just music in general he’s up there with them all from any genre.
How you figure he went against them dudes when he was instigator. Nas, Big or Jay never said anything towards Pac. It was Pac who decided to get at them after he was on the other side of the country instead of doing what a real gangster would do and thats run down on Jimmy Henchmen ( who lined him up ) and Big Dexter ( who actually ran down on him ) and handle what needed handling. But dudes quick to say how much of a gangster Pac was but when real gangsters got at him his idea of payback is making a song talking shit about what he gonna do. Fuck Outta Here with that.
@@jalenaverylloydaveryiisson8862 sooooo does that mean your father (R.I.P) blew up inside of the penitentiary then right? I mean did Pac do something to your dad personally? Why such a strong dislike for Pac? You could do so much with your dad's legacy but I only see you spewing negativity towards Pac. You always talking about God, keep talking to him and ask him to remove some of that hatred bruh. You didn't know Pac personally did you?
If I dropped an independent album but it didn't sell to well, someone like Eminem or Jay-Z dissing me means I blew. Even if I sold a single copy, the biggest rapper on the planet knows me and obviously listened to it. 😆
But how fair are you being? Jay’s first album dropped in June of ‘96. Pac died 3 months after that. Big left 6 months later. Jay was on his way. Nutty Professor Soundtrack went platinum. Y’all don’t know how it would’ve went if those 2 were still alive. Anyone can be right while speaking hypothetically.
I rarely agree with Faizon, mainly because I don’t understand some of his points but, I totally agree with him on this. Pac could rap like anyone, if he wanted to. He chose to rap the way he does because he had a message he wanted to air out to his community. He knew how strong his voice was. I’ve never heard anyone rap with the passion Pac rapped with. If TPain doesn’t think he’s lyrical, maybe he should read PAC’s poetry, some of the realest, most beautiful shit I’ve ever read.
@Aaron9 Of course Pac can do whatever he wanted to...he's 2pac. He could have sang like Stevie Wonder if that's what he chose to do. He could even produce greater than Dr. Dre if he chose to
People are gonna get tired of me saying this, but I don't give a damn. People are STILL mistaking punchlines for lyrical. Here's the actual definition of lyrical, ," Expressing the writer's EMOTIONS in an imaginitive and beautiful way ". Punchlines can't be found anywhere in the definition of lyrical. As far as wordplay, Pac DESTROYED tracks with poetic wordplay. People try hard to defame what Pac meant to rap , and his millions of fans, but it can't be done in the REAL world. Pac's the GOAT in my eyes, and if you're a Pac fan like me, I don't have to explain why.✌️🙏
@@jalenaverylloydaveryiisson8862 he had a lot of court cases got into a lot of fights.Shot 2 white dudes in Atlanta he didn't know they were cops at the time. He seemed pretty active to me and I don't think he was really fronting who he was he wasn't gangster he was militant.
Kendrick isn’t any close to Tupac level he is great Tupac was everything man the man was loved everywhere not only Music he was an amazing human but he was sold out by his friends anyone and any of us would feel same come on everyone fucked him over
You forget that Suge put batteries in his back..Pac had heart but he was used and was never a gangster... he was a conscious revolutionary....him being with Death Row was a big mistake.... fact.

2pac was a once in a lifetime talent. I wish he was still here because the rap game is glitchin. Pac would hold his own against todays artists most definitely destroy them lyrically. Growing up in the 90s we saw his talent live or on tv. I miss them days but cmon T-Pain it's Pac lol
Tupac isn’t the greatest lyricist or technical rapper of all time but he’s the greatest rap artist of all time and he’s the most iconic cultural figure that hip hop has ever produced
So tired of yall cornballs repeating the narrative.....that Pac somehow wasn't on the same level as Nas...Big or a Jay........lyrically..... 👈👈🛑🛑 that shhh lazy...and robotic..... Pac was a better lyricist than all these clowns.....then and now.... yall need to listen and stop watching "RU-vidrs" for 90s rap knowledge
@@jfraz1992 Kanye is a good comparison as far as rapping skills but Tupac historically means more to black urban culture where I look at Kanye as more of a pop star type rapper like drake but Kanye in my opinion doesn’t really matter to me as a black person and as a black man in America the way Tupac does but I’m still a fan of a lot of Kanye’s music
@@DaytimeNightmare just for the record Tupac is my all time favorite rapper but if you listen to his style he had a slower poetic type way of rapping and it wasn’t as complex as other rappers like nas biggie and others also I don’t really like nas’s music and I prefer Tupac as an artist to nas biggie jay z and anyone else but Tupac had a slower style of rapping than those rappers that’s why his critics say’pac wasn’t particularly lyrical but I get your point
@@ju9330 your commenting just to comment, my point to the actual postee was not all others are imitations if they not like him, then you come with ya pointless comment saying to me pretty much the same thing I said to him 🤣🤣🤣
It was literally said that Pac kept coming back to life on the table in surgery before he died his mom had to pull the plug for him to finally rest she didn't want to watch him suffer anymore this shows how powerful his soul is
Nas “I Gave You Power vs 2Pac “Me & My Girlfriend”…… Nas was the foundation of rapping from the perspective of an object. Pac made His version after He studied Nas… I rock with Pac… but Nas is different Musically…
Was the record Dope or Trash? 2pac was very talented. That’s a whole fact. Remember He East Coast Born… and Raised(New York 2 Baltimore)….. then The Bay by like 18…. Most of His Life was East… So He knows His $#*t that’s why He got songs like “Old School”…
Intelligent Hoodlum aka Tragedy Khadafi aka Tragedy from The Super Kids/Juice Crew is the 1st EMO rapper, 2pac's mainstream status gave him coined credentials somewhere on afterwards
Tupac destroyed them all.... In 96... Jay Z, Biggie, Nas were all left in dust. Tupacs killing was like a blessing for them. Hence if u look at their faces they hate it when u mention Tupac.
Tupac told us to keep ya head T pain said buy you a drink t pain songs last for six months and people move on Tupac music still going strong 28 years later.
Exactly people always want to have the Pac vs BIG debate but fail to realize that in just 1 year Pac put out so many hits and classic albums and it took Biggie almost 3 years just to make Life after Death after Ready to Die. So there's no comparison.
People also exaggerated Biggie’s "free style abilities" he really just remembered his rhymes, he really wasn't a free style rapper that was before when did battle raps... However Money B confirmed that Tupac when he still had not made Same song with Digital Underground was actually getting on the microphone and doing free style raps against other rappers after the concert ended. Plus his body of work is tremendous, no can say Tupac slacked... maybe at smashing Janet Jackson but screw that Madonna was better tho.
2pac has been my favorite when he lived and I still don't see another person capable of transcending rap like he did cause he was one of the first due to his upbringing. Now as far as abilities people act like Lamar isn't good compared to pac its not fair in today's fast listen and move on to the next album or artist. An album could sit on the charts and carry an artist relevancy for a year back in the 80's or 90's. Today's wave you would be old news if hour following wasn't massive.
Allot of ppl like shock G money B and recently Allen Hughes came out and said pac couple Get very lyrical like big and the rest but he purposely dumbed his lyrics down in simple manners so people could understand the message he wanted to relay
There's alot of rappers that were were on 2 pacs level when it comes to story telling. Biggie, nas, eminem, big l, spm, ect. They were literally singing a movie in alot of their songs. 🎬
That boy insane, 2 pac a bigger and better artist with passion but biggie wipes the floor with his lyrics and his fluent flow without paper or pen. Kendrick could never be bigger than Tupac, but Kendrick could put together a song as good as anybody. 2 pac legacy comes behind being back one of the first artist murdered.
They might be better lyrical but 2pac was the better artist overall. 2pac made a bigger impact on hip hop and still get talked about till this day. I like Biggie but when it comes to better artist and impact, 2pac wins
@@CAdams93 that’s what I said , his image as a whole. He had a big power team behind him to. Tupac songs get to sounding the same lyrically a lot of the time. Biggie got real concepts and story telling and the way he bends words and sways over a beat is unmatched. Even when they freestyled together it was a big difference. U can almost guess what Tupac is going to say next. U couldn’t do that with biggie. But I love 2 pac to

Anyone with an unbiased understanding of hip hop knows 2pac would body the best rapper of this generation or any generation. I think Kendrick is great but overrated imo
PAC’s the best and will never be touched. The sooner that this is realized, the better, because anyone who’s either claiming to be better or saying that someone else is better is in denial.

Ok people kinda going over board. 2 pac wouldn't even be rapping right now. He'd be an actor/activist/label owner/studio owner. He would have transcended rap.
I agree people still talking about a 25 year old Pac not thinking about a 51 year old Pac .Hate to say it if he was alive he wouldn't even be relevant him are Big.
Tupac was in a league of his own. The man was a brilliant poet and songwriter. I feel like a lot of his words go over peoples heads. The thing about Tupac that impressed me the most was how versatile he was. He wasn't one dimensional. He could rap about anything. He made social commentary political songs, conciouis rap songs, party songs, gangsta rap songs, love songs for the ladies. I mean name another rapper with that range. The guy was an incredible artist.
I'm glad it was people around Pac who will still go to bat for him post humously. Been a fan since 10yo and while I strongly disagree I've become numb to the shots and slander at this point. Salute Faizon Salute Spice 1 and Napoleon 💯💯💯
@@each1teach1academy43 You're entitled to your opinion; Pac's music covered every emotion and the overall human condition better than any Hip-Hop artist before or after him... ..Metaphors, similes and punchlines are impressive, but music that makes you feel is everlasting; Pac is loved and cherished in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Pacific, Europe and the Middle-East because he focused on emotion rather than technical prowess. Lyrical rappers are mostly cold and mechanic while Pac was warm and organic. That's the essential difference.
