Man I can’t even explain how beautiful I find guma’s 1v2, just perfect clicking and league of legends for that 5 seconds, in semifinals against one of the favorites to win it all. Absolutely hypnotizing to watch.
zeri q (auto) is a skill shot, where as varus was mainly autoing left click (with abilities). If ruler played a autoing left click champ, it might've been different story since guma can't dodge those LOL. But im not underplaying guma outplay in no way. It was great play.
@shinjimirou928 u calculate the year one by one . He's debuted in 2013. Until 2022, he has completed his 10 years of his pro gamer career. Hence, the year 2023 is his 11th year as a pro gamer.
@@ziyou2063 wha? that's really not how 1 year passes by 2013 start of his debut - 2014 end of first year of his debut 2014 > 2015 is 2nd year 2015 > 2016 is 3rd 2016 > 2017 is 4th 2017 > 2018 is 5th 2018 > 2019 is 6th 2019 > 2020 is 7th 2020 > 2021 is 8th 2021 > 2022 is 9th 2022 > 2023 is 10th if you are counting 11th then it should be 2024 which a full year hasnt passed by since 2023 started
pro play analysis is a very good fit for your channel imo. we can’t always keep up with pro play, so it would be very appreciated if you made one of these every now and then during the normal season or even during msi. great video as always
Faker is just a genius. When he was a rookie he was outplaying everyone. Now he's even better, you don't realise how much he impacts the games untill you watch him on the replays. He's 5 steps ahead of you.
Not sure if anyone noticed, @4:43 when MISSING fired an ashe arrow, Kanavi placed a pink ward to hide the arrow from gumayusi, yet gumayusi was able to still flash from the ashe arrow. If that ashe arrow were to hit, JDG would have won the game.
3:06 really explained how crazy T1 is. JDG did everything "correctly" in that fight: building the wall, isolating Oner, holds drake pit position in a horizontal formation, and Ashe tried to pick with ult... were all "correct" actions in that situation. However, against T1, playing the "correct" move is simply not enough anymore. They know the "correct" gameplay way too well, and they will outplay you if you don't reach higher level.
it's like chess. there are blunders, mistakes, correct moves, good moves, best moves, great moves, brilliant moves. and oner's flash-over-arrow engage was brilliant.
JDG didn't do everything correctly to be fair. Knight placed the taliyah wall but then, for no apparent reason, just decided to not use taliyah E on the ground in front of rell. Taliyah E stops all dash and Rell W is a dash. If he uses taliyah E there Oner cannot engage even with using flash to try and close the gap as taliyah E is too long to flash in a line past it. The fight could have played out much differently, maybe T1 still wins, maybe they don't. JDG's knight absolutely misplayed there though.
@@limittestresearchinstituti5801 it literally turned a losing situation where the team gets poked out into a turn around team fight engage that won them soul point at that time if T1 cant win or get that engage they would be far more behind than they already are in terms of lead it saved T1 and kept them on an even state in terms of powerspike before the final Baron of Game 3
If oner doesn't do it, faker will do it too. JDG only practices ashe-varus in aram. for sure Their mission is to attack opponents' HP and teamfight. It's not about standing up to the dragon. T1 has never set up such a bad position with this comp
@@shinjimirou928 but if Oner didnt do that, Faker and Kerias R would have got them all anyways and fakers R is what does all the dmg too. Oner was just the first to engage by a split second so it looks like it was all him. Don’t get me wrong it looks fuckn sickkkk to flash the arrow like that 👍
4 was the most confusing part of the series to me, I saw Faker just walk out of that fight perfectly healthy and was completely lost as to how he took no damage. Seeing it again and its just insane how good his movement is
i watched it over and over again. it's insane how good Faker is. he dodged that harpoon by only knowing the information that came from the Rumble's comet when 369 casted his R. this is why i'm silver man i can't 🤧
@@burntsoufflehe was so aware of everything that was happening despite how chaotic that fight was, if that was me i'd be mashing my keyboard so hard and stil die.
JDG didn't flop with their performance, it is just that T1 is playing insanely good this series. I think I have never seen the whole T1 team playing this good in 10 years.
@@servant691Wolf is the best disengager support in his time, he is insane in denying enemy engages and that is why he is paired with Bang who is a stable, static weakside ADC. They are the ungakable back then and that is why everytime their top mid and jungler are so agressive.
IMO, this is PEAK SKT T1. I Haven't seen a team so connected, calm yet Monstrous at the same time One series away to be Immortalized, Long Live The Unkillable Demon King
I'd still stay 2015 SKT did better. The fact that 2015 SKT had an uncoordinated synergy and were all playing for fun, like, genuinely competing against each other for MVP more than the enemy, really made their games look immaculate.
@@2001pasquale your first comment could also be applied to Deft, which also has been playing for 10 years now but unfortunately his 'worlds experience' didn't get him to the Finals, let alone playoffs. I think it's not always about the experience (although it sometimes is)-you also have to acknowledge his godly skills that he strived to improve for so long and his team mates who shone in every game vs JDG
Honestly I am a JDG fan and was thinking the would win worlds and complete the golden road.. but the way T1 played this day was just unreal. Their peak is almost unplayable against.
Most things mentioned I knew, but that one where Faker goes Zhonya to avoid Akali's R2 is an incredible find. With all the skill particles from all those champs, Faker couldn't have seen Akali's R2, the only way is prediction.
I was thinking that exact same thing. He probably saw Akali use R1 earlier as well and probably guessed that Akali would R2 him the moment he came within range and Zhonyaed.
Yeah, and he had flash, and he ate the whole Rumble fire (which means the Zonya's wasn't to avoid Rumble, or panic use), he deliberately wanted to bait Akali, and predicted the timing. His calmness and movement, and sense... Pure insanity
Oner’s flash arrow engage, Guma’s 1v2 and Faker’s shuffle on ruler are 3 of the best plays ever I’ve seen in Worlds. As the caster say, they’re too damn clean.🔥
@@chaithao1452thing is, if you do those insane play in pro play, the whole world knows about it. But in SoloQ, only you know. Heck, not even the enemy team or your team rememeber about those plays few days later.
@@chaithao1452 yeah, then what? Upload it on YT to get few thounsand views? I'm not saying it's impossible to do in soloQ. What i mean is that's those plays are special beacuse they did it on stage, in a high stake match, against world class enemies and infront of big audiences.
2:38 It's worth noting here how Insane Oner is in playing the fog provided by that bush, Going in and out after every abilities so that Missing couldn't use his W+Q on him and also Faker's crucial spacing not allowing Alistar to even get in range to combo and of course Guma is just Guma.
Everyone says Faker is the star, but his team is very clutch as well and deserve similar attention!! They aren't showing any weaknesses. It's a joy to watch, they are very well coordinated.
@@chaithao1452tbf the final was completely unbalanced. Guma & Keria, being absolute demons, didn't even have to do much in the finals, heck, Guma didn't even die, but because of how much everyone knew Toplane meant in the series, Zeus stepped up & Oner mostly pathed top to gank TheShy. The only role Faker had was to deny Mid push, which he did fairly well, and he got to have some fun on Akali in the final game. He may not have fully 1v9'd the final, but there wasn't a need to. All he had to do was keep even, shotcall for the team, and they got to waltz away the World champions. Faker still did it for his team, against the best midlaner the LPL has ever produced, with the 2nd most international games only behind Faker himself, so I still say he did it for his team, even if it's no longer in his 1v9 pure dominance mode from a decade ago
@@Awacadooo Oner got tire of Fakers fuk up BS. When the team is winning or Faker gets fed, then he begins to troll and win-trade. Oners only chance is Zeus. Zeus is less of a troll than Faker.
So many mechanical and decisive plays but honestly, Zeus' pick on Ruler when he was backing is the one that made have to rewatch again and watch his pathing to see when and how he made that decision. I was blown away by Faker and Oner plays for sure. But that one just hit differently because it comes from experience and trusting your gut, and being willing to trust it. So cool.
There is a reason why t1 is the most favorite, and likeable team in league. Faker never fails to impress his funs and excite every game he participates in. T1 basically carries the esports in lol, in my opinion, and faker is 50% (or more) of the reason why. Great plays. Credit to the guy that made the montage😊
I believe the same thing happened to Kanavi he clicked Keira when he opened the portal and accidentally went through (i.e. clicked something that was on top of the portal)
I love watching stuff from worlds. Everytime something happens, the crowd screams give me shivers, it has to be awesome being there to watch the games.
T1 comming back for the World Cup after like 7years.. entirely deserved for the whole team who played very very nice. They shown they are the LPL killers. Hope they win the finals because its not done yet but they deserve this 4th star ❤❤❤
Killers were rarely used on good side, but slayers were only used for Heroes who challenged and defeated great monsters, like T1 stand out to stop LPL from winning:)))
I really appreciate such a nicely edited commentary on eSports events. I've rewatched this 2 times already, can't get enough. As a game design graduate, I don't think anyone I know could've done a better job. :) Keep them coming!
Not at all. We do it in ranked too. No difference. Pro plays and Solo Queue doesnt change the speed dynamic of Ashe's Ult so not a big surprise. You just need another teammate who can communicate with you to do what Oner and Faker did. Nothing new. The flash over Ashe's Ult wasnt a surprise.
3:05 I just want to add a bit more to how insanely well executed this engage was. Both Knight and Ruler have flash up - but watch the CC timer on ruler/knight, as soon as rell knockup ends faker's emp divide follows up on PERFECT TIMING. A perfectly timed cc chain in an insanely difficult to execute situation. True mastery not from one player, but from a group of players working together as one entity. Hail T1
2:18 I also want to point out Gumayusi's excellent read and teamplay here He could've flashed right after Knight flashing through and secured himself a safe position away from MISSING and Knight but he baited himself to make Knight focus on him instead of getting Oner targeted + setting Oner up for a W knock up if Knight continued chasing. Then instead of greeding his W, he waited out until Knight ran in a predictable path and combo'ed it with Oner's Q while still keeping close attention to MISSING's movement and read his WQ precisely. And shortly after that, we could see, once again, Gumayusi's patience waiting out Knight's W, juggling at Akali's max Q distance on shroud's edge to bait Knight into revealing himself (Gumayusi also placed a trap into the bush in case Knight tried to be sneaky but there was a ward inside the bush so I couldn't tell if it was a genius move or he just kinda winged it)
@@AtumassadoCompaoIf my guess is correct, MISSING forgot to account for Bard's E versatile use so he was trying to wrap around and pressure Guma into Knight but since Keria repositioned 2 T1 members onto the other side, MISSING couldn't decide if he should commit and pick Oner or wrap around and try to pressure Guma into Knight again. In the end, he had to burn flash into Guma or else he would've allowed Guma to freely deal damage on his team from a safe distance. And there are 2 reasons why I think MISSING gave up the chase. One is that he burned all his abilities as you can see him running around with Phase Rush, that'd also explain Faker's decision to insta tp near MISSING. Second is that the fight was favoring JDG a lot. If that Bard portal wasn't in the equation then they would've gotten Oner and protected Ruler from Faker. Unfortunately, as you can see, Bard is such an alien concept in the pro scene that they didn't expect Keria to split the team fight like that and put MISSING on a dilemma, hell, they even made Kannavi and Ruler accidentally clicked on the portal, that should be a clear sign that they weren't used to fighting against a Bard and Keria abused that to his advantage.
@@AtumassadoCompao If you watch the picture-in-picture at the bottom right you can see Alistar combo onto Orianna and ignite her. You are right he could have saved combo but also he is walking into river blind, he wouldn't be able to see Faker's TP if it wasn't for them already fighting and using ignite which gives true sight.
@@YuYuYuna_ That is true, I think the way I saw it is depending on the cd's he had on the combo, since Q and W can both interrupt, nice makes sense what you said yes :)
Wow. THIS is worlds content we deperatly NEED. Somebody ambitious enough to point out the delicate details in pro play in the highest level in such an entertaining format. THANK YOU KEEP UP THE COMPETITIVE SCENE VIDEOS
what makes me convident for T1 to win the finals this year is that unlike last year every single one of them is stepping up when they have to, such a pleasure to watch
4:40 "You are good enough to sense me coming, Ruler, and you will Flash away from me the moment I dive to you. And because I know you will Flash back to get away from me I will pre-emptively Flash forward and use my ult from further behind. *I have faith in you to have faith in me.* " - A Korean internet meme in response to this move "He (Ruler) got caught because he was too good. Other ADCs wouldn't have used Flash because they wouldn't have had never seen him coming in the first place." - CVMax Not to mention the fact that this game featured 5 out of 6 players (three on T1, two on JDG) from the Korean National Team back in September this year. Watching it was quite an experience.
Pro league is on another level. The reflexes they have while keeping an eye on ally and enemy positions and every missplay that can lead to failiure. Insane gameplay
I can’t even explain enough how masterful that Faker Azir play was, you even appreciate it much more as an Azir player how clean he makes plays with him. Absolutely beautiful.
thank you for these! LoLEsports used to have teamfight breakdowns like these, and i'm pretty sad that they stopped doing that but here you are bringing it back
a year ago when ruler went to jdg, i said T1 vs JDG finals would be peak league. i thought it was inevitable these 2 teams, the 2 most talented teams on paper imo ever, would meet in the finals, but T1 had a nightmare of a year, and yet they made it this far, and out clutched jdg. beyond incredible how good they all played
I watched the first two games then fell asleep partway into the third just in time to see this, but I was so sleepy I didn't fully understand the gravity of Faker's Azir play to truly appreciate it.
Faker didn't PREDICT varus flash, he WAITED for that split second decicion of varus where his champ gonna turn for flash then Faker just reacted way faster to flash ult before Ruler. Faker is known for his insane reaction time and he is confidently showed it in the clash as he comms that he's looking for an angle to engage JDG. Both Ruler and Faker knows a flash is only the best option to distance varus from the clash and Faker's Azir is just miles suited for the play more.
Imagine using an immobile old school champ like Ori against assassin matchups like Akali, with the help of Vi and Alistar and also Rumble, yet have to flash a single time. This isnt even possible in a soloq stomp but Faker.. Such a bless to have him in this game.
And i love how people still says Faker is not that good compared to his prime yet here he is showing everyone he is still still the demon king and he just keeps on improving
I stopped playing LoL years ago but I can still see and highly appreciate these high level of plays even though there are so many new mechanics in the game.
Look at how many insane plays T1 has to make in order to win the matches against JDG, score might look simple 3:1 but the ingame mechanics is insane. Pray that T1 win it all and finally lift the summoners cup again as Korea's best. Great video breakdown btw, T1 fighting!
Oner flashing the ashe arrow and being followed up by Faker has to 100% be a coincident for Faker's Emperor's divide. I would assume he knew Oner was gonna die stuck in that corner but he didn't expect the Oner flash for wombo combo. Either way, great team execution
Man coming off of finals, this series had the best and intense moments of the entire tourney. With respect to WBG, T1 vs. JDG was the real finals match with the finals essentially being T1’s victory lap.
