The tank looks great. I think you have the right mix of lighting. Also as I have said at least ten times the back glass is so clean and it just makes the tank. I know it's a pain to keep that looking good. Keep up the good work.
Well I haven’t watched a you tube video for nearly 7 months and I seen this and thought oooooooo ... very cool video mr pipes and WOW your tank is looking super divine indeed .... damn I am so desperately itching to start a new tank but I need to wait until the new year ... I can’t wait :) well I will be back mr pipes keep the videos coming and oh don’t think I haven’t noticed the nearly achieved 10k subs *whistles* damn girl needs to step her game up don’t ya think :) might do a fish shop tour video this week for you all I found a little gem of a place :)
Billy Pipes well we will have to change that then won’t we hahaha you’ll be posting in a months time saying wish she’d flaming shut up ... omg I just had a moment where I was going to swear and I call it a Dave moment now I know he’s laughing right now because I know he knows exactly what a Dave moment is so I deleted it and wrote it accordingly :) miss being on here so yeah I am coming back bigger and better :) xx
Been keeping Salt a year now, all LEDs. Have some simple beginner corals that have done well. Ready to step up my game so considering adding t5s. Good info, thanks 🙏
The eternal dilemma: which lights to use....In the end I still think it’s down to personal taste for appearance and features. Quality of manufacture is also right up there, but I believe some brands are overpriced for what they are. The tank is looking lovely! 👍🏻
I'm using hybrid by my self, and I love it. But had you heard about dimmable t5 units? 😁 It is not only on and of option. Second thing, if it's too much white with t5 only, you using the wrong bulb combo. Third thing, your sps settled down, and it gives faster grow as well and when they get bigger than you will get faster growth. And the last, send a sample for icp test, issues with zoas could be somewhere else.. Happy reefing 🤜
Tank looks great. I have never seen a tank that looks more maintained than yours. If I could ask - what are your thoughts on adding sand to a bare bottom tank? The tank has been up for 6 months. I’m not crazy about the bare bottom look.
When I switched sand I took it out a little at a time over a 3 week period but when I put the new sand in I added about 45lbs all at once. Had no issues 👍 I did add beneficial bacteria for 7 days though (aquavitro seed or seachem stability) is what I would recommend
Did you like the shimmer & look of the reef brute LED Atinics ! Could it have been better ? Do the Radions really blow them away ? Is it worth the price difference ? I'm just wandering if one is going for increased shimmer effect if the Reef light LED's are good enough ? Thanks Billy !
I got my T5 fixture and one question is mine doesnt have the four bulbs. It's only a duo bulb so I wanted to ask if this was okay for growing corals or would i need the quad?
I went with the kessil a360x and im in love, also got the narrow reflector which makes them give a TON of PAR ( 600+ PAR ) depending on how much above the water it is.btw do you have the mp40s? And if so what mode do you have it on i want my torch to flow smoothly like that.
