Well the rooms are made up using a point system by CCP, the following site shows the max number of npc's you can get. Probably, if it's not T2 or the Entropic one they are pretty useless to me. CCP should make them either profitable or remove them.. or make it so you can sell them in bulk vs the contract crap ;-)

@@2Kraeze well, Drekavac BPC you jettisoned costs about 8-10M isk in contracts right now. Isn't it profitable?

@@drfcgd ah, well I might keep em than for a bulk sell. If I need to setup all those contracts it's cutting in my profit / runtime more than it returns 🙂

@@2Kraeze got it. of course, I could offer you to send all these useless ship BPCs to my character at a price of, let's say, 1kk per BPC... but something tells me you gonna refuse :)
