TAANN News Updates 6/14/2024 - Distressing Power Rangers and Sentai News, Godzilla on Netflix, etc! 

Nice news update. I watched Minus One recently, a good Godzilla. On Power Rangers and Sentai. It’s very unfortunate how the situation is going. The fallout with Netflix that scrapped a new Power Ranger show that is going find a new home and future Sentai DVD’s on a temporary halt again. It’s no doubt that Hasbro’s current financial disaster is the main factor behind these issues. Even hate to saying this but Hasbro shouldn’t have brought Power Rangers at the time in 2018 while they were in their previous financial disaster from late 2017 and while the Sentai DVD release by Shout were starting to take off with release of more Pre-Zyuranger entries coming. I hope things can get resolved as soon as possible. And I am hoping that Shout Factory can get the rights for Power Rangers, that way they can resume the Sentai DVD’s in full swing. It can be said if Hasbro brought Power Rangers in mid 2022, we would have had the dvd release of 1975 Goranger and 2013 Kyoryuger between late 2022 and early 2023. Mr. no Kami, I have a few questions to ask. Please excuse me if it has been answered before. 1. On Hasbro’s financial problems/ down period. When you mentioned Hasbro’s problems in your Sharider review video days ago, I checked about this and was surprised. They had this financial problems before a few times over the years with most recent one back in late 2017-through early 2018. What was the factors behind Hasbro’s current financial problem? Bad decisions from the CEO, underperformance of both Dungeon and Dragons and Transformers: Rise of the Beast films or combination of both or something else? 2. Is it possible for Shout Studios to work on a compromise with Hasbro and Toei to get the Sentai dvd releases resumed without anymore delays? 3. What if question. Had Hasbro not brought Power Rangers in 2018 from Saban yet and waited a few years later before buying it (Well aware that PR was not in good hands with Saban at the time) would we have gotten all pre-zyuranger from Turboranger to Goranger and early 2010s entries like Kyoryuger around 2022 for example?

Yellow Racer is one my top 5 fav of yellow rangers. I was shocked to hear her passing away. I'm rewatching Carranger and it still holds up til this day. Such a good Sentai. I can't wait for the Kiramager review. Have you started watching Speilban yet? Metalder is an interesting show. The Neros Empire is why I kept watching the show. My girlfriend was done with the show because she hated the main character so she's watching B-Fighter Kabuto and Solbrain. Thank you for news and updates Kaiju.

Overlooked news: a bidding war between Sony and Skydance to merge with Paramount, who was the studio working on the Power Rangers reboot film. Skydance looks to be the winner thus far as Paramount doesn’t want angry politicians throwing tantrums about being owned by a Japanese company and Sony was spooked by the bad numbers of Paramount + and company debt causing them to withdraw a cash offer of $26 billion. The beloved digital otaku news magazine site Hobby Dengeki along with several other sites that were owned by Kadokawa have gone dead after a data center failure from a cyber attack. The media company is scrambling to get the sites back up and running but they have been down for almost a week now, leaving toku toy news reliant on Bandai Mania or being completely in the dark. At a toy show Takara flexed their creative muscle showed among many things a prototype of what appeared to be a new Ryukendo figure, which seems to be a modern remake of the original toy figure from the show but more detailed while retaining the mecha combining feature.

Yes, sell it to Shout Factory. More sentai please.

Just subscribed..hello sir Shubham from India here..in India we only got to watch Power Rangers throughout our childhood,cuz that's we all know about anything related to tokusatsu. But now after watching your super sentai reviews and finally got to know the origins of power rangers I'm switching to super sentai because the state of power rangers brand is really bad. So no hopes for that franchise.
