Secondly, it's admitted even by Christian scholars that it's uncertain when Jesus's birth was, it was almost certainly not in December. Secular historians debate whether he existed at all. Yes, humans are selfish, but there are just as much foolish, so using human motivation as some kind of argument from incredulity makes no sense.
