TABLA DUET 2015 Pandit ANINDO CHATTERJEE and Shri ANUBRATA CHATTERJEE Presented by ICC and Matra (www.matraonline.org) Brooklyn, New York Filmed and edited by Aric Gutnick
One of the better father-son jugalbandi I have heard in recent years. Anubrata Chaterjee's playing has improved so much and he is doing a commendable job these days. I have been listening to him since last 6 years and his improvement is inspiring. No doubt, with a legendary father like Anindo Ji, he is on the right track to become the next big name in the world of Tabla.
I have noticed a funny thing from 48:13 mint to 52:00 mint. that pandit ji is continuously noticing his son playing...and the expression of his son and panditji is seeing his son very doubtfully as he is doing something wrong... But still seeing a legend with his son playing such wonderful compositions is too much impressive... 😂😂😂🙏🙏
instead of talking i think we should listen to this wonderful video, thanks allot for uploading this video and I think anubrata ji is showing a good respect towards Pt. Anindo ji, both are amazing.........:)
I have no expertise in judging such things, but this is my favorite tabla video. Can anyone tell me why the organist on the right gets no name credit? Also, is there a special name for this kind of organ?
David Pittelli happy you enjoy the video. The organist, is playing a harmonium. And he does get credit in the video at the beginning. "Ravi Mishra" is his name.
Fantastic... but, Anubrata ji should have sat facing Pandit ji instead facing the audience. He may be an incredible tabla player but he was still sitting on the stage with his father, his guru, the magician, Pandit Anindo Chaterjee.
No. He's playing, so he should face the audience. As a musician, I find it really irritating when people deify great musicians and treat them like they're above human status. They're just people at the end of the day, and if you talk to them, they think that way of themselves too. I've met Anindo-ji, he doesn't want to be hero worshipped, he just wants to be treated like a person!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣no no brothers..that is mehendi..a red pigment type liquid that is worn by indian wedding brides to keep their fingers cool..Anubrata applied it to his fingers..so that due to hard reyaz his fingers won't pain and ut will be cool and soft..its an old ayurvedic medication of indian sub continent
I'm something, if u put it that way, but thx for the info, just did'nt know, still the name correction was not false: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-omvpse31H7c.html
