This video tutorial is about the Longmill 30x30 CNC router table build construction by Sienci Labs, with the CNC router dimensions. You will see how to build a simple CNC router table. CBC router tables need to be sturdy to avoid wobble of the machine. This DIY CBC router table build is good for any CNC route, hobby desktop and benchtop.
The long mill CNC router needs to mount on a table at least 44"x44". That is the footprint of the Longmill 30x30 CNC router.

I built a table like that for some people, it was 5ft by 8ft and 42in high. One of the person claimed he was a wood worker and that the table would not be strong enough. He threw himself into the table and it did not move (at all). He got mad and walked away. I laughed at him. He did not talk to me for the rest of the night. I am always willing to learn something new. Weather I can make it work for me is a different story, but I try.

My table is very similar, but I put a shelf on the bottom for the vac, and a switch panel at the lower left, for the controls (computer, longmill, router, and the vac). Good video!

Just built my new table for cnc #2 30x30 longmill. I went with 48 x48 table. Will build a kicker off the side to mount the electronics.

Garrett, I am kinda modeling my table after your design, simply because it makes sense. I am putting mine on wheels so I can store it in a corner and pull it out for cleaning or maintenance if necessary. My shop is a tiny little 12' x 16' shed, so space is critical for me. Between this and my table saw, I don't have a LOT of room left over, but everything IS on wheels to make it easier for storage. I am also putting a shelf at the bottom for whatever...and I think I will build a drawer or two underneath for storage. I'll send a pic when it is done!!!

This is my second or third time watching this. I took notes this time as my shop build is coming to an end. I need electricity run to it and my climate control installed. In the meantime, I can cut 2x4s in the cold. Next week!! 😂 Now... onto Sketchup to make my plans so I can figure out how much wood I need and my cut lists!

Do you recommend casters on these tables? I've seen yes and no - where I'm installing mine I'm concerned it will be too hard to move without casters (it's going into a garage)
