No! There were many exciting finals. Especially during the 21pts and 38mm ball era.

The 3 Chinese players from this video won all of the WTTC Singles from 2009 - 2019. It is hard to beat a Chinese National player and it is 3 times harder to beat them in a team event.

Mit 3:2 Sätzen gewinnt der Weltmeister Zhang Jike gegen Timo Boll und bringt die deutsche Mannschaft mit 1:0 in Führung. --> Finde den Fehler! :D :D :D

it seems to be that on minute 31:10 Chinese coach clapped three times at the end to kind of hint him something. Kind of like baseball when they do there finger signs.

I guess you are trying to say the Chinese should play and win in tennis. That is a possibility but it is hard. First, Tennis is a much more competitive sport than Table Tennis in a worldwide sense because of price money. Second, the Chinese don't even have many tennis courts. Another word is that tennis is not a popular sport in China. They produced a Li Na in which I think it is already very impressive.

Uneven final this one.

Not really. Timo and Patrick Baum did very well. Even though Patrick lost the 4th game but it was close and very competitive. It is hard to beat the Chinese team. Just look at their bench, Ma Lin and Xu Xin were not even playing.

@@benthekeeshond545 It still not make it an even final, not one win. The Chinese players in control in every match. The German team does not really believe they can beat China, that is the problem. At least it appears so. The Chinese team is of course very very good, but Europe has also failed to produce new skilled players during the last 15 years who could take the lead. Who could take the challenge on and play better than ever before, when it matters. They are followers at best. Hoping for a change but it is a depressingly 100% domination by China now.

@@SuperHammaren The Chinese TT training system is excellent. It took them many years to develop into what they have today. It is the system that allows talented players to excel. You have to have both to win championships. TT elsewhere, not China, just don't have the basic training and players selection process. Players have to start young and it is an open secret that the Chinese are bringing talented young players together for group training. They are doing that at a town level, city level, county level, provincial level, and finally the state level. We can observe that the Chinese have a large # of state-level players to choose from. Players such as Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, and Ma Long are the best of the elites. On the other hand, European and other Asian countries have many competitions for developed and older players. They didn't start group training and daily competitions when they were 7 or 8 years old. I think, recently, Japan is doing something like that but on a smaller scale.

@@benthekeeshond545 Nobody thought China could lose in 89 either, yet Sweden did. Because they believed they could and aimed for it. Almost the same player did it again in 95 and 2000. Waldner played in the Swedish top league at 12. They never felt beaten before. Tiny country so the coming generation not so talented though. But Germany should manage to do much better. As poland. @@SuperHammaren Without a good training system, it is hard to identify talent. Sweden then had a lot of pure talented players. They had Waldner, Appelgren, and Jorgen Persson. Actually, Persson won many crucial victories against the Chinese team. But without a good system, it cannot produce or pick out the good players at a young age. After Waldner and Persson retired, the upcoming Swede players couldn't fill the void. As of now, Germany has a good system for many years but unlike the Chinese system, I believe they don't develop or select special players at a very young age. I believe that is the difference. The same thing can be said about Team Hungary in the mid-70s. I love Gabor Gergely and Istvan Jonyer. Jonyer was completely out of shape after his 1975 WTTC Championship year.

Also, der Kommentator war leicht pessimistisch eingestellt und hat meiner Meinung nach eher für das Team China kommentiert.

He took Wang Hao to the 4th game and had a game point on him. I don't know how good Patrick is but he played Wang Hao effectively in this team event. Not many players can get to the 4th game against Wang Hao.
