Follow me for the day on a trip north. I avoid filming too many long distance days as driving in the same direction all day can be a little boring but I want to show some variety
"Tacho break". I swear I read that as "taco break" and I though Jemma was gonna stop at a road side food trailer or something and eat some Mexican food. Doh!!
You really keep me going as I have a brain tumour and I quite often wake up in the middle of the night!! Your voice and videos help me relax and get back to sleep so I can face the next day .
Love your videos keep them coming! , Ive been driving hgvs 3 years now and already looking to pack it in, the stress of the job is to much too many rules and it's mentally draining, respect to people who do it all there life x
I really like your posts and the different parts of the UK you visit. I've always wanted to drive a HGV myself, but never got around to it. How you get time to do your job, do the filming & editing plus home life, sure makes you a busy lady. Keep on trucking!
York is very near to my home town and a very Beautiful place. That part of the A1 where you were stuck in traffic is an absolute nightmare at the moment. Good to see you getting about up here as I always keep an eye out for you when I’m down your way. I currently drive all over the country but I’m looking to start HGV driving and you’ve inspired me to do bulker work too as that’s what my dad did for the majority of my childhood.
Those damn roadworks on A1 north of Doncaster have been on for months and months ,, and are still there now (April 2024) with no end in sight. Good luck for future trips up our way .
Your professionalism and diligence is particularly commendable and your demonstrating leadership by doing this, because others will (we hope) be guided by your example. I’ve figured out what to look for on the road - your trademark hat on the dashboard - that will help me know it’s you, another great video and as always you look stunning in the PPE😎
I can honestly say i a'int a salad for ages, until i saw you scoffing one. Bump, that was me the next day. Got all the gear, a bottle of salad cream, too. Forgot the radishes, but remembered the beetroot ! Splendid.
Morning Jemma. I am your first twit of the day, I just tried to wipe a fly off my computer screen, only to realize it was stuck to your windscreen on the Lorry. I have woke up now all is well. Lol.
Absolutely brilliant vlog as always Jemma!! Thank you very much 😊 Hope your house renovation is going really well 🙏 Hope you have a lovely weekend with Ryan & the family. All the best Jemma 😊👍
We're lucky we can enjoy your lovely videos twice this week. I'm sure it's pretty frustrating when you run out of driving time because of bad traffic and the mandatory rest break comes up in a bad spot. I'm sure one of the worst things in your job is that there are unpredictable things you can't control and those can ruin your day. But you always solve the problems easily. It's funny you didn't receive a proper address in Hull and you had to drive around the place to find your load. Excellent and informative vlog again Jemma. Thanks for the double fun this week. 🥰
Hi Jemma another enjoyable vid, and technology can act rather strange at times, also I enjoy watching whatever you post so happy to get any vid from you, anyway hope your weekend was good and you have a easy working week.
Hi Jemma thanks for sharing another awesome video again. You certainly do get all over the country must be great when the weather is good. Great how you explain everything hope you have a fantastic weekend take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
I drove HGV back in 2004 for about a year and they wouldn't allow us to sleep in a lay-by. We had to park up in services only. We didn't have satnavs either, just a stacker box full of old maps. I was always asking the public for directions. Lol. I'm sure glad that I don't drive them anymore. Fair play to you as you make the job look enjoyable and easy. 👍
Thanks for the update Jemma that was a good run Plymouth to Stockton. The breaks went against you but that's how it is some days at least you got tipped. Looks like you ended up on the docks we have some storage in that area at Frontier. Truck driving is about keeping calm and working out problems which you always manage to do but sometimes the office don't make it easy for you thanks again.
I'm not surprised that many people come up to you and say they watch your channel. It's interesting and you have a very pleasant presentational manner.
Hi Jemma, I really enjoy the long distance videos - not boring at all. It must be interesting starting the day down in the south west and ending it in the north east of England, going through all the changing landscape, weather and people’s different accents across the UK. Then all the way to the south west again the next day. I would quite enjoy travelling in your cab with you, and I would feel totally safe with you driving.
Great vlog Jem, your so humble but a bleddy good driver, so organized clean tidy and steady but still getting on with the job, Wain's are very lucky to have you 🤛😎
Another good video jemma you are an inspiration to new drivers your videos are brilliant should make longer iv watched all your videos ❤❤❤ keep safe out thair keep on trucking
Another easy peaceful vlog to start a Saturday morning, better than any tea or coffee, as I sit here recuperating from having 2 stents fitted to 2 blocked arteries. this has got to be the best medicine in the world. Thanks Jemz, take care, stay safe and drive safely. ❤
Get well soon Martin. I agree with you that Jemma's videos always brings fun to the viewers lives. Her sunny personality cheers up the day that's for sure.
People external to you don’t always help you do your job do they - and that shower was a joke 😮. You are always cheery though and you vids give a real insight into the trucking world - love them 😘
Great video Gemma, you do get around a bit . It would be interesting to know how many miles you drive each week. Safe driving. Any update on your house , as an Electrician it would nice to see house hope it is going well
Hi Jemma, those roadworks on the A1 at Barnsdale Bar are a nightmare and will be ongoing for a long time and the Leeds Festival traffic has hammered junction 44-45 this week, total nightmare for us going back to Northumberland this week.
Hi Jemma, Great video as normal... Just a bit of info for you, A38 up the hill is called Holden hill ( not related lol) and the A380 to Newton Abbott is Telegraph hill.
You ought to try out a leaf blower for cleaning out your trailer in a hurry. I used one to clean out my garage here in N Wisconsin USA. I think that 400 cu ft per minute is right.
I know the m18 and the a1 is the best way usually...but due to the roadworks it is so much quicker going straight up the m1. I do this run regularly the yard is in Bradford
The ending was a bit sudden lol . Seriously Jemma you do a cracking job working doing videos for us. I do not think you realise how well you do these videos. Well done take care. Regards Austin x🎉
A couple of years ago the government promised millions to improve roadside facilities for HGV drivers, a few weeks ago I got an answer on how much of this money has been allocated, its a whopping £0.00, Apparently they wanted to do a survey first, in that survey they found there were about 16,000 dedicated overnight truck parking places, that is MSA's, truckstops and council run parking, these are places with the basics most would expect, toilet and washing facilities.
@@jemmawarren27id have been so tempted to just carry on the 15 minutes to get tipped and take the break in the yard so i could get down to a services to sleep. Its so daft because having to take 45 a second time made your day even longer (no one there to tell you where to tip) and to bed later. I drive in Ireland and I believe the law take an understanding approach to 10 minutes or so over if you are near the yard where you park. But none of us want infringements on the card as it spoils our reputation if theres an accident later that week ( even if its caused by the extra tiredness because of the breaks at the wrong points in the day before). Id have driven on and done a printout to note the reason. Tacho law is supposed to address the rogues who would go dangerously long times for profit but it seems to be causing a lot of trouble for us ordinary drivers that get caught in a bit of traffic and then miss our tipp putting you behind because you have to overnight ( which you can’t because “no overnight camping here” etc) and all for the sake of 15 minutes over 4.5. Love your vids i do animal feeds too but no one would watch me because i dont have your looks im a hairy assed old guy 😅
