I used to do security work at an industrial park at 05:00 am a Mexican lady would show up and sell breakfast tacos and homemade tamales out of the hatchback of her car . I don't care if she had a permit or not her food was great and she wasn't dealing crack !!! ..... although her tamales were always as addictive 😋.
Same in Miami. That little lady every morning stopped by the jobsite with arepas of all kinds. I love the flavors and the love she put into every one of them. I missed working there just for that awesome food!
Reminds me of some of the all night truck stops I used to go to when I was younger. You could get a waitress at 3am that looks like a million bucks, is pleasant and will give you a great smile. You get a waiter or some guy behind the counter, that guy has eyes that would make Charles Manson look like a Sunday school teacher and has the personality of a rabid badger.
Are you kidding me?? I’ve watched this at least a dozen times. I’ll probably watch it again 10 more times again today. Tomorrow.. it’s probably 2 or 3 dozen times. I have to go to work sometime! Stop the insanity!!
As a trucker I found myself in Salinas, CA in a line to be loaded so I had time to burn. There was a woman operating a diner in the back corner of their parking lot so I went in and ordered some Mexican food. OMG it was amazing!! From then on I always made it a point to eat there if I was loading at Fresh Express. I hope she is still doing well.
In my experience, the meaner the staff at a taco truck, the better the food. You know you're in for a good time when you hear cussing from the back of the truck, and the guy at the front is smoking a cigarette while he takes your order.
