I'm back in the Granite State checking out some AMAZING local terrain with my buddy Mike! This time we took an after-work run up two Upper Valley Class 6 gems with a couple of nice brook crossings and a rocky and exciting climb up Moose Mountain. The second road shown is one I've wanted to tackle for a while, and I'm hyped that we got to scale it on such a beautiful summer (and hot) summer evening. Big thanks to Mike!
Watch until the end to see me almost wreck my truck when it pops out of gear and I have to race it downhill. CLOSE CALL!

My moms lived in NH for 15 years and I have been dying to try these kinds of roads. Finally have a vehicle that can do it. The dog is awesome. Great spotter.

Thanks for putting so much effort into these videos. Looks like a great area. I'm actually not familiar with those roads. Think they're a bit farther north than I frequent, if I'm not mistaken. I'm living vicariously through these while life kicks my ass and my Jeep is neglected. Keep em coming.

I believe it’s because large amounts of granite are excavated from the state. I could be wrong tho. Just guessing

Let me know if you're ever around this area, would be happy to try to arrange something if the timing works out. No spots on these trails for camping unfortunately, you'll need to find legal campsites for that.

I know exactly what road you’re talking about I’ve been up that way many times spent a lot of time in Hanover Springfield and Piermont The upper valley is absolutely beautiful. I’ve heard many things about the “Governors Road“ BTW that is not what it’s called so don’t go googling it and I appreciate the video very much always wanted to know what it look like

I do, but I don’t disseminate the names. Too many have gotten shut down through online popularization. Check out some of the local 4x4 clubs/guide services if you want a look at them!

nice video...what is it with NH jeepers keeping the class 6 roads and trails a secret? out west we invite all true Jeep enthusiast to travel and challenge them selves...along with posting. Thank God for the West!
@S0nnenberg
@S0nnenberg 6 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching!! The reason for the “secrecy” is to maintain access. All VT Class 4s and NH Class 6s are immediately surrounded by private property, almost without exception. Private landowners have lots of power within towns to close roads (by vote) if they’re deemed a nuisance (too much traffic/noise/environmental damage). As such, trails are kept on the down low. There’s lots more public land and access out west, which is great, the only issue is all the trails are too easy =P. Kidding of course, thanks for watching. Also, there’s plenty of ways to access these trails, just join local clubs, they’ve got the lowdown on all the good terrain.
@josephpalisi3295
@josephpalisi3295 6 месяцев назад
No worries, I have the full NH class six rd. list, by county and town, and there are a lot! open or closed is determined by the town boards or selectman, I will do more research, but what I have discovered is private landowners can gate them... But Not Lock them, if deemed open to the public by that specific town, RSA231:31 hope to see you out on the trail.

@@josephpalisi3295 Do the gates get locked in the winter? Or do they still keep them open for, say, snowmobiles?

1000lb bridge rating is a joke! The trail goomers that groom the snowmobile trails weigh more than 5000lbs, NOT including the drags...
