Today was my last day on the Military Diet----so going to be making this and honestly 2-3 of these tacos wouldn't a ton of calories as long as I don't load up on the meat, double the tortillas, or fry in lard--LOL,even though that helps to fry it and give it a little texture. So looking forward to these, I've had them before but never seen these prepared this way.

Many of these tasty dishes abuela makes my familia and I make them some very similar and other dishes slightly different. They're some ingredients I would like to try different that abulela uses to perhaps add either more flavor to my dish and/or bring out the flavor in my dish. Never tried adding pineapple on top of my tacos of al pastor so that's something I'll try.

Hola, Gracias, por mostrarnos una forma diferente de preparar la carne para tacos al pastor, yo en vez de licuar la pinia la pico, en cuadritos y la marino junto con la carne cebolla en rodajas 3 limones para 1lb. chiles huajillo como 3 chiles con 1 chile del seco de el q se usa para el mole el ancho arrugadito, 2pimientas 1 clavo de olor, licuo el chile con las especias, y agrego esto a la carne le pongo la cebolla en julianas le exprimo los 3 limones, mi esposo me recomendo comprar "unto"esto es como grasa de cerdo se pica y se pone junto con la carne y el chile licuado a que se marine, yo lo hago en la tarde de un dia, para hacerlo al dia siguiente, y se marine todo muy bien, y aldia siguiente, lo hago con un poco de aceite ya q en la carne va el "unto"= grasa, y almomento de cocinar suelta grasa, y lo cocino como la seniiora, y tambien queda muy rico.
I use this recipe but recommend cloves and cinammon too... and with puya pepper with the guajillo pepper.. Also recommend grilling! makes it taste like its on a spit!
Authentic Al Pastor is cooked on a vertical spit in front of an open flame and shaved off as the edges get crispy...this is like making a pizza in a coffee cup!
