In Mexico is much more common eat corn tortillas, flour tortillas are often used in burritos, quesadillas (Sincronizadas) and gringas (are like the quesadillas but with meat)

I'm glad you guys got to experience how real tacos taste (and are prepared) like. The best ones are the ones my grandma makes (greetings from Mexico :) ) I prefer the flour tortillas, but that's what most of us in the north part of Mexico prefer. Honestly, I don't mind as long as the meat is well marinated and cooked.

It's awesome to see americans try out some legit tacos, those look pretty close to what we have here in Mexico... Fun fact, flour tortillas are not too popular in Mexico, unless you live in the north like I do, we have many tacos in flour torrillas as well as burritos and other things you see more commonly in the US

That's because here in the states, especially in the Southwest, 100 years ago or so, flour was the grain of choice. So the Mex immigrant communities used what they had available. Not to disrespect - but to make due the delicious Flour Tortilla was invented.

Those tacos look amazing and the taste they might be extraordinary, Now as Mexican I wouldn't eat 'Tacos' with Flour tortilla, 'Tacos' are tacos with Corn tortilla, for me, Flour tortilla is more for like a quesadilla or a burrito ONLY! .... Itzahira Ramos-Gonzalez. Mines too . She used to make a big stack flour and we'd take a few more an hour after dinner. With butter and salt. Plus we'd crumbled leftover tostadas into a paper bag and add salt. This was many years before the gringos started selling Doritos .

Depends on which taqueria you are at, some have gringas (mulas in this video, aka the same) with two torillas just as in the video and some with one tortilla, mostly served if not only served with flour tortilla

I dunno bro, I lived in LA for 30 years. I've been several places in Mexico including the ciudad. The best tacos I've had came off of food trucks in LA, no offense to Mexico City. Their tacos are bomb af, but LA has it on point.

I really love your videos 💕 just let me explain you something about the history of corn and flour tortillas. In Mexico people from the south and center are used to eat their tacos with corn tortillas because the south it's an area with more agriculture so it was easier to cultive corn so that's why we have corn tortillas. In the other hand the north part of Mexico is dryer than the south so they didn't cultive a lot of corn so they had to find a way to eat tortillas without the corn so they used the flour (I know that because my grandparents lived in different parts of Mexico).
