New subscriber mate, saw your comment on the Watchdives giveaway video so have been waiting for this particular review. I am the very lucky winner of the V2. 🍻😁I chose the yellow with bracelet and expecting delivery next week, can't wait. The upgrades have certainly made this a fantastic watch, full credit to Jassy and everyone at Watchdives. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone at all. Have a good one mate, from Downunder. 👍 BTW great review.👍
Thank you for watching David. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, its good to see a brand respond to feedback from customers to improve their watches. Regards, #WR4K
Awesome video. So detailed and clear. Thank you for going so thoroughly through the changes. I have been contemplating buying the Seestern, but now I will go for the V2 Tactical Frog instead. I love the Tactical Frog logo and dial design.
Thank you for watching Rusty. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. I also prefer the Tactical Frog brand emblem to the Seestern logo. One change I suggested, which I am glad they made; was to remove the "Tactical Frog" text at 6 to clean up the dial. I think the V2 looks better without it. Regards, #WR4K
Got 3 V1 Frogs. Love them. As for changing straps. Go in via the front of the watch. No issues that wat. Mine have rubber straps now I also have a V2 dark blue V2. Agree on all the reviews points. Wonderful watch. Also found the bezel action alot more light on V2. Just bought the V2 coral today also.
Thanks for the review. I like almost everything about it, except the absence of drilled lugs and the bezel that still rotates only the outer ring. Why? I’ll probably wait for V3, or just go for the Seestern, though I like the case profile of the frog better.
Just got mine in the post today, all in all 9/10 , the Seestern variant [( version 2 ) im still waiting on btw] will have BOTH the time and depth rulers rotate and this time a lume pip.
WARNING. Whatever you do, do not use this watch for diving. For example, if you move the bezel so that 150 feet is in the 55 minute position and you dive to 150 feet for 55 minutes without decompression, if you survive you will likely suffer severe brain damage on ascent to the surface. The Doxa bezel was designed so that you could dive without decompression stops.
Good video. I like the watch. I own the first version, unfortunately. I wonder why they went through all of the trouble to correct the issues from the V1 but still do not fully correct the bezel issue🤦🏻♂️. Maybe they will come out with a V3 with a properly functioning bezel. Other than that, I do like the watch. I prefer the TF case shape and size over the Seestern version. I also like the Tactical Frog name and logo. That bezel, though. What in the world were they thinking to go that far and not fully fix the bezel.
Thank you for watching Jason. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, a V3 with the inner bezel rotating rather than being fixed would be better. I also prefer the Tactical Frog logo to the Seestern brand name. It is a shame they didn't use the same Seestern bezel as that fully rotates as per the Doxa Sub 300T. Regards, #WR4K
@@bernardocourrege6283 , The Seestern case is fairly flat across the bottom, the mid case is noticeably thicker and the overall case thickness is larger by approximately 1 mm. The Tactical Frog case is curved, The mid case is noticeably thinner and the overall case thickness is thinner. You definitely do not want to purchase the version one Tactical Frog. The V1 TF will not easily, if it all, accommodate straps of any kind. The Spring bar holes are way too close to the case. The bracelet has mail in links that do not curve downward. They add substantially to the overall lug to lug measurement. The bracelet is comfortable. However, it is not a true beads of rice bracelet. The links are a solid one piece design that are cut/mailed/stamped into shape. Which, makes the bracelet look weird. The first link off of the end link is huge in comparison to the rest of the links on the bracelet, which, also makes it look weird. You probably already know about the ridiculous bezel. Other than that the rest of the watch is pretty awesome. The v2 TF Has fixed all of these issues except for the bezel. The new bezel design is almost perfect except the inner bezel ring still does not rotate. However, the bezel is not necessarily a dealbreaker unless you plan to use it for timing applications. The Seestern is a great purchase. Just understand the case is chunky. The lug to lug length is very wearable but the height off of the wrist is more than the TF. This is primarily due to the practically flat case design. The lume is great on both watches. The Seestern’s date wheel is lumed! The TF’ indices are applied to where the Seestern’s are painted on. Both the TF V2 and the Seestern are good purchases. I have a 7.5 in wrist for context. Good luck! Enjoy the watch when you get it.
