You should stream on twitch more often. You’re funny and seem like a very good person and I think a lot of people would really enjoy watching you play. You could potentially make a career out of it. Regardless, this is the best, most in-depth guide I’ve seen for any character, not just greninja. Truly amazing content
You should rename this series from "An Ultimate Greninja Guide" to "THE Ultimate Greninja Guide." Again, Chrom main here, but I still learned about stutter-steps and frame advantage. Everyone even remotely interested in competetive smash should give this series a watch. Good luck labbing life man. You're damn good at it.
roy greninja dual main here. a lot of things like attack cancel bairs and landing nair can carry over from one character to another, and they often cover each other's weak matchups well. they both have more individual techs, but i love the combination to death.
These guides are some of the best I’ve seen, they really are awesome. I thought I knew most of the things this character has but dang there is still so much more that I learned with these videos. So much info and new tech that I can apply to my play style, thank you so much. Keep up the great content, I’ll be looking forward to the next part!
You could also do d throw bair to kill at high percents if you think they’re gonna di in. Even if it doesn’t connect it could catch jump or you could keep tracking them offstage and bair again. Great vid!
I used to casually main Greninja in sm4sh and just unlocked Greninja in ultimate yesterday, ooooh boi is this one hecc of a deep dive. So much to learn and your videos are so in-depth, I truly appreciate the work you've put into them
This was an amazing video. In the future you should do a video going over top greninja player vods explaining what they did right and wrong etc I think that’d be really cool and a good way to improve
Slowly turning into a greninja main came back to refresh on tech and possibilities and noticed the 7 thumbs down Im so curious why they thumbs downed the video lol 😂
5:30 "I know, it IS really unfortunate that we cant connect our 100% true kill confirm at 70% against certain characters..." Lol this is true. Saki pls buff Also this is a fantastic video! I love greninja and I'm once again going to try to brave the complicated combos and crazy precise tech just to play him and this video guide has helped so much!
Thank you so much for this guide! I was about to call it quits on maining my favorite Pokemon until someone suggested your video to me. It means a lot and please release part 3 ASAP.
If your next guide can you explain ledge trapping? I recently dropped Greninja cuz of his grab, and weird edge guarding and ledge trapping, so it would be super cool to see that :)
Bro your guides are hella good. Theres a lot I can learn from them even after one and a half years of maining Greninja. Also I didnt expect a beat from a German rap group in the back lol.
Hi Apolotion, can you please explain how you pulled off the move at 19:49? After hydropump, I'm in free fall and can't do side B or jump. How are you able to do this?
I honestly thing you could make a book with all of your guides, the tech, the combos, and the greninja player analyses. You could even throw in some of what venia talks about on stream and some of the pins in the matchup channel in the gren discord. Id be the first one to buy it.
yeah...i tried watching this. I see the views and realize every other character is being researched this hard. I cant enjoy a game like this because it just feels like math, yet I cant enjoy just losing every match either. I really hate to say it but I dont think I enjoy this game anymore with how techinical every one is. This probably doesnt matter to anyone, but I cant win, and I just cant have fun and these videos just proved that I'm not meant to enjoy this game. Have fun everyone else, I wish you all the best but this shit is affecting my own self image now.
I have what I guess is a noob question and I apologize for it, but is there a trick to running offstage and immediately grabbing ledge? My character either runs off or I have to jump and grab it.
I’ve looked up a ton of guides on many channels and this by far, is the most in-depth analysis of a character I’ve seen. I turned to Greninja as my main because of this. Thanks!
I loved this tutorial only thing is I recently got smash and greninja and don't have a GameCube controller so are the game cube controls the same as joy cons also I don't understand what nair sd fake sd is so could you explain that pls?
Another great video! I'm going to have to re-watch this just to get all the specific info I had no idea about. I've been wondering how you do Weak Nair into F-smash for the longest time alone
Bro! I’ve been on this character for so many months and it’s like you’ve covered everything in discord in like two vids 😂 you’ve cleared up a few things for me, thanks so much bro for putting in the work. You’re awesome 👏🏾
@Apolotion Regarding the "Instant Pivot grab" at 12:34, I believe it would be easier to understand the required inputs if you described it as "dash forward -> input C-stick in the opposite direction a few frames afterwards (I'm personally not sure about exactly how many frames) -> then shield/grab" I had to look up instant pivot grab to understand the tecnique, might just've been that i missed something idk, but I just thought this might help to improve the video. Amazing video tho, I learned allot and I'm looking forward to part 4.
Absolutely stellar job with the guide, man! Suprisingly well organized for being so in-depth. I have a quick question I really need addressed before I continue practicing with the toad. What is your button layout and what do you find yourself using most of the time for jump? I use L bumpers and Y to jump and I find that I have better control of directional aerials using L with the c stick. I seriosuly can't do a shorthop fair fast fall without using L. However, Nair feels so much more natural with Y and A. Let me know what you use cause I really wnat to practice efficiently. A whole guide on your button layout and how you manage to press everything efficiently would be super nice. Maybe tag it into your part 3 or 4 or wherever! Keep it up man!
Sorry if I say to cry seeing this, it is beautiful what I am seeing and I try my best to keep going. I love greninja and some laugh at me for saying it. I just want to be very good with him, excellent great work and I wait for the next video.
I love this guide! As a Greninja main, I'm glad to see more people learning and creating Ninja Content! Need more on his Counter utility though. Some people don't know you can counter Pac-Man's Hydrant, for example!
