Thai Chi is something else.. I used to teach Matsubayashi Ryu at 15 as Senpai for a few years. A very Hard Style (Karate is a hard style, Judo and Thai Chi are considered Soft Styles) of Traditional Karate and around 19 I started learning Thai Chi from a friend to help me gain an inner peace over all the stress and attacks I was getting as a teen from my older brother. I was already a great fighter and martial arts instructor before Thai Chi but learning just two basic Kata's changed my whole world. It exploded in my brain and suddenly I was at least twice as fast as I was before, everything about me just felt more loose and relaxed when I needed it to be.

Yesterday’s was my 100th day. I skipped a couple of days in the first 2 weeks and then made a rule that if I missed a day I had to start over. I never missed again. There were a few 24 hour periods when I crawled out of bed at 11 p.m. to do it and get back on track. I was surprised that the last 3 days were difficult to finish. That was an eye opener. There is a big change in my physical body, my emotions and my understanding and acceptance of myself. My food choices have improved greatly. Shingles are still here but they’ve eased. Yes, I am Drinking more water. Thank you. If you are thinking of trying this program, I encourage you to give yourself this gift of 100 Days of Tai Chi that will give back to you in ways that will that will surprise you. I’ve just completed Day 101. Best wishes to you.

I'm glad to have seen this as I am on my second day. With my other self improvement "things" I do, this has helped put me ease a lot. Especially now that I'm waiting on my university acceptance letter. I do physical training with dumbbells and that got my aggression up a bit so this is balance myself more so. I'm sure I'll stick out to a 100 days since I am very determined. May I ask how you went about this? Like did you use this video primarily or go to the other modules over time, maybe even jumping back and forth between them all. I ask because my current plan is to focus on 1 module for every 2 weeks.

Hi… thank you for your interest. Because I can easily get distracted, I chose to stay with this one video every day. That felt more honest because of my personal issues with commitment and not finishing things. If I bounced around to other videos/practices I’m pretty sure I would probably not have completed 100 days. In fact it never occurred to me to do that and I’m thankful for that! It sounds like you have a lot going on and maybe creating one constant routine for your schedule for 100 days would be beneficial. You know yourself and how you think and feel which will help you create what’s right for you.

I stopped the video after watching only 52 seconds. Why? So I could post my thoughts and tell you this woman is amazing and gets it. Once I heard her say it's not important to move correctly but what's important is taking the time to practice daily, I was like right on lady. I turn 59 in July and still dance everyday to psychedelic trance music like a kid at an EDM festival. I even practice my own style of martial flow which is completely made up from watching years of kung fu movies and YT videos. Motion is lotion and you just gotta stay moving.

This video is a fantastic introduction to Tai Chi! I had taken a Harvard University online TaiChi course and they showed some basic moves, but never tied them together leaving me disappointed and feeling robbed. This instructor demonstrates the moves slowly and has a soothing and factual voice, leaving me with the feeling that I am being taught by someone who has good command of Tai Chi. In China, Tai Chi is a common exercise for middle-aged and elderly people. Young people are too busy and like the fast-paced lifestyle of fitness and dancing. Practicing Tai Chi requires a calm mind like yoga. Few young people practice Tai Chi.

Until i saw this and was drawn to it. I will do this every day. I feel better already. I lost all energy. I had no desire to do anything, or go anywhere. For all the technical commentators - please understand that people entirely new to soft martial arts cannot possibly absorb their foundational philosophies, strategies and methodologies as they are way too complex. This video is aimed for lay people, the elderly, the mildly distressed etc to follow and absorb. The demonstration here is a superlative example of deep knowledge translated for easy absorption by the uninitiated casual user and has the potential to produce almost 'instant' - within one week - benefit. Once initiated, the participant can advance on to the more elaborate and technically sophisticated forms. Taiflow - kudos to you in Spades! Please keep it up and thank you!

No. As Yang Luchan said to Yang Banhou, "Can this be t'ai chi?" T'ai chi ch'uan (taijiquan) doesn't feature independent movement of the arms, such as that depicted in the push in the videoclip.

Asa Imma Nice try at providing an excuse, but no, that's still wrong. Moving incorrectly isn't the same as giving layered explanations. Instead, moving incorrectly is only moving incorrectly. And the effect of modeling incorrect movement--while claiming that it's taijiquan--is to propagate incorrect movement in those who believe the demonstration because they don't know any better. In other words, it's fraud.

Dude, I think you need to do some meditation on why you're being so nit-picky and upset about this. Fraud? That's just silly. First, she's not selling anything. Second, she is not advertising this as perfect forms. This is for beginners just engaging with these sorts of movements. And it is helping many people, as you can read in many of the comments on here. How is that a bad thing?

At 73 years I "tried" a tai chi free class at a local community hall. Hooked me in instantly. Found Leia's Tai Chi modules that night and now at day 14. Already have changes - constant sinus mucus reduced 80%. Gas in abdomen reduced greatly. Thigh muscles strengthening and at the end of just module 1 (10 mins) my body feels like all of it has been moved around. Leia's statement of "not important you move correctly" resonated with me and after just 14 days of moving daily my body is now automatically fine tuning my tai chi movements. Leia ... Thank you so much for this wonderful gift and I look forward to working my way through all of your modules. Being a Kiwi in Australia the beautiful location on module 1 helps enormously too.

Master Leia, I'm going to speak for all your students of Tai Chi, - thank you so much for these instructional videos. I'm not really flexible nor have I ever liked to do any particular sporting activity, so I was a little bit afraid I couldn't keep up, but I was surprised to find out these basic movements are pretty simple and elegant to do. I know that if I practise regularly, I'll eventually get much better, and maybe I'll be able to learn how to defend myself if needed. But, honestly, I think that Tai Chi is so much more than "just" a fighting combat technique. My Reiki always starts to flow when practising Tai Chi and it just makes me so happy! Although, I'm not doing it even nearly as flawlessly and elegantly, as you are, I can feel my body getting stronger and more flexible each time I practise with you. Thank you, Master, be blessed!

Like others have said, this made me instantly relaxed AND emotional. When the video ended I bowed Japanese style to thank you. Absolutely loved it. This is what I wanted out of meditation but it never gave me. Maybe I needed something in which my body moves too. This is perfect. Really excited to try this everyday. Thanks again :)

. This is my favorite all-time video that you’ve made. Gosh, it would be wonderful if you could make a series that stuck to this uniform formula with you walking more slowly into it as you do in this one, and then you speaking very slowly and having the music throughout. It is very calming and to have a series of these with this formula would be very soothing and trancelike and consistent. Thank you for considering this and for all the great work you’re doing in the world.🙏💙

It's my second day and i'm feeling much better after the exercises. I'm struggling with depression for two years and nothing had ever made me feel good until I met Tai-Chi. So thank you :)

I'm 68 with back and knee problems and started this about two weeks ago. The comments are what really convinced me that this is the video to use. It's very easy and enjoyable.

I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees and need to have both knee joints replaced and have poor balance. I really feel that Tai Chi could greatly benefit me. I have been walking a quarter mile with my wheeled walker or crutches, but it is brutal. I think that Tai Chi would be of great benefit mentally, physically and spiritually. 🥋

I recommend you cut out all wheat and gluten to mitigate your pain and practice everyday to build strength. Good luck and enjoy.

I am recovering, hopefully, from a 14 month bout with shingles. My doctor told me there is no cure and that I would just have to wait it out and rest. Although I feel better the shingles continue. 29 days of this tai chi has helped me more than I can even express. I have more energy and I’m able to think about something besides shingles. My body alignment and posture have greatly improved. My attitude is much more positive and I’ve begun my art practice again. I am so grateful.

I am so grateful for this teaching. I took a Tai Chi Class nearly 30 years ago and LOVED it. I've been searching for local classes. What a delight to find a way to learn and practice at home. I just did the first 5 minute exercise and found myself smiling a lot and feeling peaceful and happy. I feel calm and quiet. What a lovely practice. Thank you so much. I will continue to practice, thanks to your easy beginner video that got me started!
