The Taikan-ten is one of Japan's leading Bonsai exhibitions, with an incredibly high level of Bonsai trees on display. This year was the 39th edition. The show takes place each year in November, in Kyoto.
The Taikan-ten is one of the few traditional shows that features Bonsai in displays, with scrolls and suiseki. But several contemporary displays can be found as well. The sales area is worth a visit too. The best of show is awarded the Prime Minister Award.

You can just imagine the amount of care, dedication and passion devoted to them by the caretakers. They deserve our admiration and we should honor them for allowing us to see the product of their passion and for the next generations to see, love and appreciate these bonsais.
