The final part of the island series!! You've been asking for it and I finally got around to delivering it! I'm glad I can give some spotlight to multiple characters in the cast. It's great that we have them playable again.

For people who are wondering, the characters WERE made for their respective islands, but due to time constraints, they couldn't really code in the idea, for example, they would need to make some walls climable for knuckles in Ares since there's so much verticality, I believe that originally, there was gonna be 2 emeralds per island and the last one is locked behind sonic's trails, that would've been so cool though

@@DolphynsDeck looking at images from the mod page, and looking at aviator tails' model and render made for the sonic speed simulator event the outfits are basically the same, the models on the frontiers mod even look abit low poly kinda like the sonic speed simulator model

I love playing as Tails on Chaos Island because with his flight you can skip the forced 2D sections which makes it so much more enjoyable.

I have a theory that the island is designed specifically to play as these characters. Since Sonic Frontiers was originally planned to have multiple playable characters from the start. Hence, the original name of the game was Sonic "Rangers" All of the island where the characters are trapped are perfect for their respective gameplay: -Chaos Island has multiple non connected terrain which Tails can fly to with ease. -Ares Island has many cracked canyons which would be perfect for Knuckles climbing ability -Kronos Island being the default island and Amy would be great to play there since she has the same playing mech as Sonic

You mentioned a few times in this video that each island seems tailor made for each character to an extent. In the original Final Horizon teasers (specifically the “Into the Horizon” video) the character art seems to show them on their respective island, and I was convinced we’d be revisiting each island with the new characters(You can even see smoke in Tails’ part of the teaser, which never appears in Ouranos). I wonder if that was the original plan, with the art used in the teasers being concept art from before it was changed.

I love tails. Also I love the base game animations for tails cuz u lock sonic his hands are out (which I prefer but) i think it’s kinda child like and I think it’s really cute :3

His walking animations are my favorite out of every character actually!! It looks like his SA2 artwork from the side POV! As good as this Reanimated mod is, I actually prefer his vanilla cycle.

18:05 i think i can explain, as they are all at different fighting strengths and ages (yes they were scrapped but this could still come to conclusion) it represents how well a character can protect themselves, Sonic has a better one as he is more used to the Islands enemies and terrain, then Knuckles considering his strength, Amy as she is also strong, then Tails who is more known to go head on in battle (not including forces)

When you act as Tails getting angry it reminds me of those Emzberry videos were she voice acts Tails as a psycho path. When Tails turned super his left eye was on up more than his right eye lol.

Great video and a great end to the series! Just an idea but maybe for a video you could try out some combat mods and see what you think of them, A few good ones I’d recommend are Reforged Combat, Cyber Combat 2.0, Chaos Polarity, and hedgehog may cry. Also the creator of island rush recently made a mod that combines all 11 towers from Rhea and Ouranos into one massive tower so if you get the time that’s one I’d definitely recommend

Speaking of SxS generation it would be the dream to have the files of every character in frontiers inside of shadow generation since it's the same engine. Also mod shadow's moveset into frontiers

On one hand I agree, but I like that the Frontiers movesets (aside from Knuckles) were really different from their past appearances. Tails and Amy had their movesets based on more recent character traits which I think make them stand out. I would like to see the return of his Tail Spin in a new game but I'll always appreciate Frontiers for doing its own thing.
