Part 2 of the island series! I was the most excited to make this one (you can probably tell why). I want to make each one of these special so I took my sweet sweet time.

Thank god we don’t need the super shield from heroes for Tails and Knuckles but I really thought the final boss for the dlc was going to have super forms for all characters because I thought they were setting up Modern Super Amy based on her Origins appearance

Oh yeah, keep in mind... Chaos Emeralds are finnicky with player swap. Not sure if the kronos expansion mod actually fixes it in some way, but just like skill points and upgrade collectables emeralds are kept track separately for each character. In my attempt to use player swap in a playthrough, I found myself splitting emeralds permanently between characters and hard locking the main story. If you can get them ALL as any character, it *should* be fine. I'm putting this out there for anyone who's looking to try this themselves, you have been warned.

Thankfully I'm entirely playing with one character per island for this I guess it's not really a hard lock for a few reasons though: 1: it's really easy to trigger the first 2 Titans without emeralds 2: there's a grabber on every island starting with ares, therefore you can transfer the emeralds to other characters after killing him

@@DolphynsDeck I hadn't considered the grabber, that's an interesting idea. My softlock occured, unfortunately, on vanilla kronos though. I personally think a mod that shares all pickups, including emeralds and skill points, would be a good way to bridge the problems with character swap; alas, the kronos mod is the best we can get to that end as of now.

Ian said his intention with that line was to either be a call-back to the classic era, thus making it canon, or just a simple joke. It can be interpreted both ways which makes it future proof for whatever SEGA decides on in the future

22:35 I ABSOLUTELY agree with this statement, except for best bossfight. That only changed because of how Final Horizon kind of exposed this boss, but Break Through It All is underrated. Genuinely my favorite song in the game next to Spider.

Wyvern is just so unique compared to everyone else. He's a serpent ruling the skies above, it's so sick. I feel so much impact when parrying a missile, the QTEs forcing the jaw open, the grand slam animation, the sound of the chains locking him up, the fact that he turns around and swipes at you when he gets pissed, it all really stands out from the rest. I also love challenges too so I kinda loved perfect parry Wyvern (on hard, it was impossible for me on extreme lol)

It was a re-upload of something from Nexus? I think? I don't remember where the link is but I asked DoomGuyRi to make it compatible with the current version of the game. I'd personally use the new Hyper Knuckles skin from Rio Sonic & Knuckles, though. I want to try and apply it to the Super Sonic skeleton and see how it works.

I've called him Hyper Knuckles for most of my life but started calling him Super Knuckles after this line because A): figured this was what his canon form would be called going forward B): too easy to confuse it with an actual hyper form (which I wouldn't mind seeing a one-time return similar to Cyber Sonic)

No, there probably won't be for a very long time either because the cyberspace character is apparently coded as its own thing to a degree? The best substitute is something like using the old Amy Frontiers mod over Sonic (which actually has support for the real Amy too)

Not really when you think about it, maybe damage, yes, but gliding is not flying, when knuckles is gliding he probably can't parry or attack and he may be strong enough to damage the titans but he is still not as strong super sonic and he is not even as fast as base form sonic which would make it impossible for him to dodge the titans attacks

@JadeTheProtogen1 that wasn't raw strength, knuckles nullified sonic's super form which is hax, besides, it had to be a sneak attack, you can see in other fights such as Super mecha sonic where he can't damage him in his super form because it's an actual one on one with no sneak attacks, btw, sonic also didn't have that much mastery with his super form since it was like his second time using his super form or 3rd time at best, it wasn't enough for him to perfect it, so knuckles obviously can't do the same to the titans since they don't have a super form for knuckles to nullify in a sneak attack and they are generally too powerful, powerful enough to even make super sonic feel pain (in the fight with knight, you can obviously see that super sonic's back was hurt from the hit)

@@Crimson_Plume the "2nd time" bit depends on how early you get the chaos emeralds in StH2, you can get them all in the first two zones so he could very well have used them for the majority of an adventure if he's thorough in his search

Same, all the other Super/Hyper or whatever forms are canon or at minimum acknowledged as forms the characters can actually use. Really dumb for SEGA to go through so much effort to both include them and then deny them. They are fun and interesting for characters, especially for Amy, and it's just weird that they are so hellbent on trying to make them not a thing or restrict them to only specific characters/species.

I can understand the plot implications of *anyone* being able to go super making things feel like "oh why didn't they just do X" or "oh why aren't people trying to find the emeralds more often then" or something like that but idk.. wild that only 3 characters (1 of which isn't even around) can use them It just limits what the series can do. 2000s era had no issue giving Sonic multiple forms so why can't we give some to the main cast?

Knuckles is my favourite sonic character. And I hate to see him be treated like a joke in the later games 😔 And I know I have a sonic pfp but I love knuckles so much that I made Knuckles video including Knuckles & himself Knuckles & Knuckles and who can forget Knuckles 😂.

You know? From the way you're describing things, I get this weird impression that Sega had planned for Tails, Knuckles & Amy to be playable on their respective story islands but had scrapped the idea seemingly pretty late into development. I don't know, that's just my speculation
