Haha, an interesting uninvited guest in the video! Allen is very nice and kind gentleman, I don't think other RU-vidr would answer all those personal questions so patiently. No worry, Allen will meet a pretty and RICH lady one day! 😀😂🤣
Very typical Taiwanese auntie. Always care about when you will get married, when you will have children.😅. Seems she has great interest to introduce a girl friend to you. 😂😂😂 Good to know that you have plane under going. You know what you want your life to be . That’s a great thing. Always support you, my friend. Good to know there is a chance for William to visit Taiwan. Hope you both have a wonderful time together!
First like how you casually sums up those main issues in life and almost friend/family way of chitchat. It make the audience close and almost family like ambiance. 👍🏼 An unexpected guest also demonstrated you are making real effort and willing to be part of the society. A true Taiwanese 👍🏼 . I think she was concerned that you were talking to yoursel😅 it’s a way of the older generation that might come across a bit rude but with great intention at heart. As trying to match up someone it’s like second nature to aunties😅😅😅 I am glad you have nailed down hose issues and wish all the best on solving them out. 🙏
Love the conversation between you and the a ma. It's cute and interesting. Next time, tell the person hey!! When I find the one makes me feel it's the right person, she'll be the one. :)
Being a English native speaker is your biggest advantages in Taiwan so you may use it well as well as you are running RU-vid channel. Teaching English is absolutely a good option and you may do with adults instead of with young kids.
First thing you should do then is to find a personal pension plan in either Taiwan or the UK if you are worried about that. Basically invest something like £30 per month with a company such asScottish Widows (don't know a Taiwan equivalent) and it would be worth while.
Glad you're not pressurising yourself making these videos, Allan. To everyone else - is Taichung worth visiting? Would be interested if any had any recommendations where to visit there for a 1-2 day trip?
Hope to see more Mandarin in your next videos. I quite enjoyed the conversation with the lady. I like how you picked up her 台灣國語 accent too 😄 Lady:你經常會不會去看你的「呼母」?Allen:呼母是什麼意思?😄 I give her 10/10 on her interviewing skills
She said she thought you were talking to yourself, that’s why she’s watching you (worried) until she realised you were talking to a camera, she’s relieved.
Always so nice to hear what you have to say. Just an idea, many foreigners have a little side hustle, mayyybe you can do little insert or advertisements for a fee.
Teaching English is always your advantage. Go back to school is the first option in my opinion. The secondary is to be an English picture book writer as your YT channel is so educational. Wish you all the best.
What an “ awkward” conversation! Not sure how you can put up with so many personal questions. But thumbs up for being so patient and kind. Bet this wasn’t the first time you ran into this kind of situation. 😉
Hi Allen, me too. I can never take my daughter back home during chinese new year. Cause it's school here in USA. yeah it's hard. I feel like we are missing out to spend time with family.
Posting more often definitely keeps me more engaged (less likely to forget) the utubers I watch. You show up on my feed more often. Why didn't you show what Auntie was saying in English at the end? Another helpful hint...don't leave your subscribers disappointed. Feels shady
Real estate builds wealth. It's true worldwide and especially in Taiwan. Buy a piece of land, build a commercial building and establish a language school. Become an entrepreneur like the Soames brothers of Subkarma.
Allen, you could make a series about student cafeteria, that would be interesting. or interview college students in english to test their speaking ability!
