My Tidal HEOS playlists don’t work on the new app directly. I have to select Tidal> and 13 steps to play my songs. It takes 5 more steps to shut it off. I called Denon and messaged HEOS, but it still doesn’t work correctly. When I use the new interface I get “ Unable to play media . Please try again later.”
I do love Heos Playlist function and being able to delete/rearrange tracks from Amazon Music, USB music files before I save it. A helpful addition on Home screen would be ability to change the order of the Heos playlists so I can move my most popular list to the left, rather than scrolling across to find it. Plus being able to edit the playlist name. Otherwise the Home Screen is great for quickly accessing my saved playlists. Am beginning to love the latest app update. Well done guys!
Yes! Qobuz support, and Hi-Res Tidal Connect app! Also, whenever Spotify gets off their a@#$@ and provides Hi-Res, please make sure that is supported as well!

Please pass on to the Heos developers how much I like the improved app. At first a little confusing - change often is - and a few bugs like album covers missing on Amazon tracks but that is now resolved. Rearranging the Playlists from left to right would be great in future updates - maybe this is already possible but have yet to figure this out! I have a Marantz PM7000, Denon AVR X3400H, two Denon 350's with sub and a 250 in the hallway. Ultra HD quality using Heos/Amazon Music is why I have given away most of my lonely CD collection.
I followed the instructions to create a playlist, the playlist appears in the list of HEOS playlists, but none of the songs are added. The songs are located in my Synology NAS. I also tried to add a playing song to a playlist, when I open the info/more button, the option to add to a playlist does not show! If the source of my music is Tidal and I add songs to the queue, opening the queue and choosing Save as a Playlist, it creates the playlist in Tidal, not in the Heos Playlists. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I'm really starting to like the new app as i learn it. I primarily use Amazon music but being an Android user and Google person I'd live to see RU-vid music also added.
This new update has created an issue with the independent volume controls of the Zone 2 from the Main Zone. My Zone 2 is my patio area and now I have no independent volume control for it.
I like the search feature, but some things are just not intuitive (on Android). Why does my last song (even after I still cleared the queue) still showing at the bottom of the screen? How can I edit radio stations? Why does my Plex server show as an available Source under Sources, but is not a filter on the search function? The nomenclature of "Rooms" is misleading because I have one Denon Stereo with 3 zones (Family Room, Living Room and Patio). Thus, while the speaker zones are in different rooms, the HEOS app lumps them altogether as one room.
I can't listen to music by selecting folders from my synology nas server using my iPhone, which I was able to do with the old application. The remote control of the Denon device can still be used to control playback and browsing of the music on the server, but it is inconvenient. How will the server be accessible from the phone?
If one selects a internet radiostation it always starts playing in low resolution. Is it possible to let it play in higher resolution from the moment it starts playing. Now I always have to select higher resolution myself.
Im sticking with Sonos until heos has apple music natively My shopping list for my new cinema room is the new Marantz cinema 30 then upgrading my 4 sonos amps to m1 to have a single heos ecosystem but will hold off on the M1’s until Heos have apple music integration like Sonos. Airplay is still a work around.
I hope that HEOS 4.0 will enable an iPad/tablet to act as a monitor, so I don’t need to switch on a television/beamer to navigate through the Apple Music app on the Apple TV for listening to Spatial Audio.
1) Why is it so difficult or impossible to organize the favorites list of radio stations? Tried everything, but I can't get it to work (use an Apple iPhone) It's not intuitive..... Who knows how to do it? It would be useful if Denon would visualize the instructions !/? Using an AVC-X4700H / iPhone 2) Why, if a music channel has multiple channels with different kbps. That the preference goes to the lowest kbps by default? And why if you choose a channel with the highest kbps and save it as a favorite, this choice disappears when you reopen the channel! ??
You should start communicate with your buyers. You were talking about Roon in a very long video 3 years ago. All other brands you show in that video works fine. Your HEOS app is still crap and no Roon. Not even tested after last HEOS update and Denon Home does not work with Roon at all. Why ??? Pay someone who can help you. Small company like Wiim, Eversolo etc can .. why can’t you Year after year your apps looks and works like crap I like the sound from Marantz and Drnon. Have and have hade a lot of your products .. will it be the last time?
