This is the hill next to the parking lot. Kind of a smaller space where you use your imagination to have fun on the rocks. The park also has walking trails, I’ve never journeyed out to see what’s beyond my filming spot. Happy to help!
Absolutely. Nobody makes kits anymore...it's all RTRs, and I do NOT need another transmitter to toss in the bin. Also, that body suuuuucks. I can't see past those A pillars.
Excellent review Greg, thank you! You provided a great breakdown of the IFS2 and the other significant details...and threw in some nice running footage to-boot...this is the look at the truck I was after, superb
Great review! I can see the body growing on people with a 3d printed grill and some badges on the back of the tailgate. Just your sticker job out back helped a lot for me.
I wish they would offer IFS2 on an exchange program for those of us with IFS1. Similar to the Reedy electronics exchange program. I spent way too much money making our IFS1 acceptable but it's still so far from being ideal. It was quite a letdown when my kid was driving our brand new Trail Runner and got so frustrated as it was snagging every little thing on a hiking path that he didn't want to drive it anymore. He was only 3 at the time and even then knew it was crap! After many mods and adjustments he now likes it.
The steering design is very interesting, it needed to be seen in detail. I do appreciate the effort to give us a unique body. The more I look at the KC version, the more it grows on me.
All it needs is a Hummer H3T Body. They look way better then the Gladiator. Then element RC could have had an original licensed body released. Vs a fj cruiser with a truck bed lol. The H3T had an optional v8 and 4 to 1 transfer case and front and rear locking diffs from the factory. It would have been the perfect body for this rig. ELEMENT RC are you listening?
I personally am ok with the body choice. I think with a few personal touches and maybe some of the Knight Customs stuff already coming out for it, it’ll only look better. Definitely ordering this!!
The higher front clearance, taller tires, and front inner fenders are all bonuses over the IFS1 TrailRunner/KnighRunner, but you did point out other places where they cut costs to keep the MSRP down. Plus that body... oof. The front fascia looks good but the rest looks under-detailed and very generic. But hey, I guess the more "Toyota" RCs there are, the better!
Love it! Can't wait to try the new IFS. This thing is an oddball for what we're used to from the company that makes the Ecto but I think that's awesome! Ordered.
Love watching your videos from Australia and have to mention we never got an FJ Cruiser Ute in Australia. We only got limited supply of the FJ Cruiser SUV too. They're worth more than new now!
I like the new IFS2. Much better ground clearance than the first gen. The body is "eh" to me, but its the same wheelbase as the Knight Runner (Tacoma), so buying a new body is the fix for that.
Lifting tires in the air just like a true IFS truck. I sold my original Knightrunner with IFS1 because of the issues associated with that v1 setup. Wonder if they will offer upgraded Knightrunner V2's with steel links and pivot balls. RTR or not I don't think plastic pivot balls are ideal in any trail/crawler in 2023...
I like that the it's has been upgraded. I'd rather have the four runner but with this new ifs setup. Do you know if I can change the body to the four runner or maybe even the enduro sport Grey trail truck?thanks for the video.🙌
A FJ Cruiser with a fairly deep bed, what do you want more exclusive?! Will order this nice potent rig. A question to the radio. Is it one hand drivable?
I really like the improved IFS suspension. The price is decent, but they made some compromises for sure to try and keep the cost down. Finally, there is no way I could handle that body, I find it very ugly.
I know the companies are catering mostly to the average consumer, but Element needs to loose the body clips and all rigs should have clear windows, even the cheaper ones. Seems like everybodys going backwards on that.
Another excellent review, Greg. Though I don't know how anybody can love that body. Maybe "stomach" that body. Those A-pillars are outrageous. I don't think you could pass a safety check with those in real life -- pedestrians would be mowed down. Kindly keep up the good work.
Man I wish people could stop mentioning Australia and this thing in the same sentence… You’d cop a load of shit if you did/drove a truck like this in OZ.
The IFS on this one looks cool the rest is just a turd, plastic everywhere the body looks terrible they should have just done the full toyota body. The shocks are plastic with useless threaded bodies cause the springs dont use the threaded part of the body. I just see paying for something and having to change everything to make it better. Ive been racing team associated cars for 20 years and have bought a couple of the Element RC trucks, Ive always loved the brand, but Im not excited about this one, other than the IFS having more ground clearance.
