Exactly. The wood construction makes the turns absolutely brutal. Fun, but pretty damn harsh. I remember being in line and thinking how tame it looked… lol

I almost broke my hip getting on this. I had to be wheelchaired out of the park after getting on this thing. I couldn't walk and it was my first ride. This ride is NOT for kids or older people. If you suffer from weak bones, any kind of illness or anxiety, this ride is not for you. I'm not kidding. This ride is no joke and will land you in the hospital.

@Roller coasters and more I mean, Orion was speculated to be originally for CGA. They can build a hyper rather easily since they don't really need a completely dedicated plot. They can build around and over buildings and walkways.

CGA in general is a great park for people to get over their fear of thrill rides

I dont really like this one, one time i went on it and it was so fucking bumpy i got a concussion on my head

we waited three hours in line (was going on my class trip to ga) in line for gold striker, and i put everything to side. my phone, glasses, everything. best decision ive made.

You forgot to mention the exact coordinates of the ride, and that it is located on earth, in this solar system. Even then I don’t think they will know what ride you are talking about

WHAT DOES RMC MEAN? RAPTOR TRACK AGAIN? IF SO, NO HERES A COUPLE REASONS WHY: 42”+ kids are looking forward to that ride, it’s a classic, and the difference in the track, the taller you have to be to ride. Btw I don’t want two rmc raptor tracks, I don’t like the fact of that, but here’s a suggestion, H Y B R I D, they could add inversions to it! Or they could remodel it as a hyper, I wouldn’t care wether they remodel it as a hyper, hybrid, or just leave it but please not a rmc! But rlly what type of rmc track?

@@Thethalassaphobians are you dumb? A raptor is a type of coaster, RMC’s single rail model. Of course they couldn’t turn grizzly into a raptor, that wouldn’t even be possible. Turning it into a hyper would be very difficult and I doubt they would do that. No one said turn it into a raptor, that doesn’t even make sense. We are talking about turning it into a normal RMC hybrid like most RMC’s are.

I did it in may and that scared me so much

This ride is way too violent. I do NOT recommend it if you have heart problems, anxiety or are prone to seizures. I'm NOT kidding either. It's way to jolty, violent and extremely FAST. Your hip is gonna give way if you're at least 30 years old. You will have injuries afterwards..trust me. I ended up in the hospital after this ride and the park had to call me an ambulance. Big mistake getting on this thing.

FR first time I went on this it was fun and I was with Ymca sitting in from row and you do not know what way you are going it looks like your going straight

Well, I did picked this ride as my 1st roller coaster, and I had no idea that this ride is that fast. But I started loving it and rode this ride 5 times.

My first one was a kiddie one in planet snoopy called Lucy’s Crabby Cabbies

They're going to tear it down. Paramount announced that last month. Too many lawsuits from injuries.

I think the reason it’s slower is because this is probably the first test run of the day, and probably didn’t have any time to warm up so it’s going really slow. I do think this needs a retracking since it has gotten a lot rougher.

We can finally say it's getting retracked in April 2022!

Ya, plus if you look at the wood from this POV and the last one in like 2015, the track has really changed.

@@AmusementLabs yeah no, I rode this on two trips, in 2018 and 2019, and I don't think all that was there.

It’s the morning in Santa Clara probably only in the 60’s and an early empty test ride. I went yesterday and it hauled ass when I went on it. beat me up but it was such a great ride, shame I only got 4 rides total.

Mystic Timbers is amazing

Yeah mystic is better IMO personally I prefer the more airtime focused ride of mystic timber’s to the laterals on thunderhead and gold striker.

I like Thunderhead better than Mystic Timbers. I rode Mystic like 6 times on my last visit to KI and didn't get any airtime on a hot day with full trains in any row. It was the biggest disappointment of the trip tbh. Thunderhead is great though. Even though it needs a retrack.

This shouldn't even be allowed for guests to get on. This damn thing nearly broke my neck. Way too fast and the turns are way too sharp. My hip almost gave out being on this thing. I will never get on this thing again.

@@j.d.contreras392 that just sounds like your body isn't built for roller coasters in general. This ride is amazing and I've had no problems on it.

It's going to be sooner. The park announced last month that due to several injuries, they are going to have it removed. Too many lawsuits concerning this thing. This thing has caused way too many hip/neck/back injuries ever since it opened. It's way too violent and extremely fast. It's not fun at all, it's just jolting and hurts your body.

SAME HERE. I got a really bad hip injury because of this thing and ended up at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for 3 days. Great America had to call me an ambulance. Never again. The park is going to tear it down though and I'm GLAD.

@@triple7marc No I do not have a pre-existing condition. This ride is gonna be torn down anyways because Santa Clara wants to make it into office spaces and buildings for Silicon Valley. That means Great America will no longer be there. It doesn't make enough money. Last time I went I was able to ride every ride over and over it was so empty.

Not to mention they share a parking lot with Levi’s Stadium, home of the Niners
