The sculpture "Pieta" expresses it best. The crucifixion of a mother. I speak from experience. It's the most unimaginable circumstance. Pain beyond the possibility of coping. You are murdered but you are still alive. Nothing I can think of compares. A mother's love is so profound... her life can hang in it's balance.

If he was genuinely sorry, for the loss of Maya's mother, he would recuse himself from representing JHCH. He doesn't! I would like to ask Mr. Shapiro, how much are you being paid to represent JHCH, since he likes to ask the plaintiff's witnesses, how much do they charge.

There's NOTHING professional about their disgusting behaviors. I'm glad Maya and her family got the justice they deserve, but even then, no money can bring her mother back, and it will be a long road to recovery and emotional healing from everything they went through. 😞😓

it's one of the best hospitals in the entire world and we can't even trust them. who can we trust? in my experience as a patient and medical professional, no one. encountering a truly compassionate care team who is able to coordinate appropriately is RARE and only going to become more rare. it's not bc of shortages. it's bc of money and other capital gain which includes personal gratification via harassment, bullying, abuse, authority, reputation, etc etc etc.

⁠@littleangel8955do you have ANY idea what these parents are up against, with trying to sue CPS, as you so flippantly stated? The legal feels alone are more than your average person could ever begin to afford, let alone the time, trauma, stress and anguish these families have to endure! This is AFTER they have already been greatly traumatized by the system and in most cases, barely gotten custody of their children back! Almost 100 % of these families have to agree to a care plan, which in turn, waives their rights to sue. I personally had to go through a case with CPS, while trying to get ANYONE to listen to my husband and I, about our concerns over his son’s birth mother’s behavior. Without going into too many details, we had piles of evidence that she was causing emotional harm and concerning neglect to our son. We couldn’t even get CPS to call us back!!! This was after SEVERAL calls & voicemails left, stating our EXTREME concern for his welfare one evening. We were able to negotiate with her ourselves and pick him up, thank GOD, but to this day, CPS didn’t give a single 💩 about our case, because our son wasn’t being abused “enough”. We now have full custody of him. He’s thriving and working on the trauma that the unfortunate situation caused, but is otherwise a happy and healthy child. The system is irreparably broken and needs to be completely dismantled and reformed from the ground up. I feel so thankful we didn’t have a worse outcome and I’m also incredibly empathetic to the families who had it immeasurably worse than we did. I am willing to fight for this cause and will be following the outcome very closely, while praying for change! 🙏🏼

Imagine being that poor girl’s mother.. hearing her little voice on those phone calls (obviously suffering) but not being able to be there to comfort her.. I don’t think I’d be able to to hold it together the way she did.. yet she still managed to sound positive for her.. This is just unbelievably tragic I like this guy not letting the defence twist his testimony!

Unfortunately all of that social workers other victims do understand that anguish. At the time Maya and her family were put through this she had already been jailed for child abuse. You'd think if a hospital was taking away and isolating a child for three months someone would check if the only one telling them it's ok to do so someone would check to see if that person has a habit of crushing small special needs children with her knees.

She killed herself to save her child? Wow sounds like a great idea. More like because she was on her way to prison. If you call suing for all that money and for something Beata started in the first place and getting this kid out by suicide, justice and acceptable man I can see just how insane people are who don't have a faithfull relationship with our Lord Yeshua are. I totally disagree with the verdict, the reason for the court battle which was for Beata because the hospital made her kill herself. If this all comes down to actually getting the bad parents, not the good parents, not taking their kids for no reason then I would be all for Beata. But seeing it's all for Beata like revenge, it seems, forget it. This whole case is just not right.

With out a doubt, I too firmly believe this. She felt there was literally no other option. And she was right. Her death brought national attention to this situation.

Because poor Beata is gone (in this Age only), I did not think of that: her name and character as a responsible and loving _mother_ had been slandered and smeared! --- In death it does her no good --- though she will live again --- but her memory is not left marred with false-witness testimony. No. It’s needed to be a public trial. This is setting a precedent for other family who have face similar circumstances that this same hospital and at other hospitals.

Her pain started **after she was given steroids for chronic asthma, and after looking up CRPS, it makes no sense how it "suddenly" started. Plus heavy Ketamine use causes leg paralysis apparently.

If you ever do watch, start with Maya testimony. Her memory was flawless perfection for 8 years ago, and she was only 9 at the time. She even claimed one Doctor wore a lab coat when visiting her, and that Contract Doctor said she had never wore one "ever". But she is frail and blonde, so likely will get the money. @@azrobbins01

The crimes committed during the Scamdemic (just a few years forward from 2016) in hospitals, --- the sad Maya-case shows with some, the grounds was already being laid for rise of _abusive authoritative arrogance_ ---- should have opened all our eyes. The daughter was diagnosed with the illness the mother insisted her daughter be treated for. She has recieved treatment for that illness without issues, even by the same hospital, all after the mother committed suicide. So who was right, and who was wrong? Who is really guilty of hurting the child? IMO it was the hospital, not even counting all the pain and suffering they put the family through.

Baeta had a young son at home, that makes her a bad Mother, imo.

Beata had suffered so much despair, pain, worry, just frantic to keep Maya correctly cared for that when the judge refused even just a hug. The dam broke! There was no prior evidence to show the mother had any mental illness before Maya got sick…….but this ordeal definitely affected her mental health and her dam broke.

Maybe I miss the point of your question, but apparently Beata did everything she could, --- researching what she could have done --- being, without doubt, deeply distressed by the false accusation situation, and its painful separation. Though false and unfair, a certain guilt might have crept-in, compounded by a callous judge (without _compassionate_ judgment of JUSTICE), who evidently wickedly trampled her parental rights! She was unjustly made to feel responsible, perhaps. That combined with fear for her daughter's deteriorating health-condition, feeling utterly hapless and _powerless,_ might have tragically driven her over the edge. Evidently a cold suspicious --- and nasty --- bureaucrat, in league with heartless _unjust judge_ usurping and criminally-stripping her of all her _God-given parental-rights,_ left in runaway spiral, falling into black hole of despair, which sadly proved fatal. Seeing pictures of her, --- realizing what she suffered _unnecessarily_ --- pains me to the core.

The hospital gave Mayas parent a “case plan” to follow and signing that case plan (put together by hospital staff and CPS) would mean Mayas mother had to agree to things concerning her daughters care that were 100% false. Guess what? Most families will sign these case plans because they have no other choice! They sign them and play the game to get their children back. The difference between a medical case like Mayas and a regular abuse case is that usually the child doesn’t have a severe debilitating disease. So signing a case plan is not alot of skin of their nose, but with Maya we are talking about medical care that would have hurt Maya. So no, the parents were not going to sign off on that case plan!

@@reneesantiago6496 the hospital needed three months to investigate. Hospitals don't go around reporting parents, they obviously were suspicious of the mother. It must have been serious since they wouldn't let the mom see her. Why did her father say at one point that his daughter would always get sick when the mother was with her. The parents found themselves in this complicated situation. But, any logical and innocent parent will patiently go through this process and want to live to not only prove you're innocent, but also reunite with their daughter, not kill yourself.

Agree something is very off with the parents. Beata herself was tired, depressed and desperate. Her love for Maya was real, still to commit suicide is wrong.

CPS should be investigating and should have handled all of this. Idk why the hospital should be investigating. That doesn't make sense. If there were concerns CPS should have taken legal custody of Maya and had a staff member present around the clock. I think there are several issues with both systems involved. CPS should have filed a petition and let a Judge decide and write the orders for safety if it were a concern

Because any reputable psychiatrist would testify that this mother suffered from psychosis and Munchausen byproxy, thereby undermining all of the Kowalski's arguments.

@@katvtay I can't make a remote diagnosis here, but I think I've read that it's the strong suspicion of a doctor involved. What most people overlook here, is that this mother/nurse not only acted in an exceptionally incompetent manner (ketamine coma instead of physiotherapy), but also showed a level of aggressiveness (hanging herself in front of her own children) that is very worrying and suspect. It is at least very likely that there were underlying mental illnesses. ( Btw. psychosis can develop from many mental health issues) I am not saying that the hospital behaved completely correctly on all counts. But it was certainly right to separate the mother from the daughter.

@@Renata-344 I’m speaking specifically on your choice of using the word “psychosis,” not speculation that Beata suffered from an FDIA, for which there is certainly some evidence. Psychosis requires hallucinations without insight and/or delusions. Psychosis is either primary or secondary; ie, a main finding in a condition like schizophrenia vs symptomatic in a condition such as dementia. Psychosis is typically not observed in FDIA, but it can be, so I was wondering if Beata had been diagnosed. I think you may be using psychosis colloquially though, to essentially mean insane.

But beyond that, psychosis rarely has anything to do with hallucinations, even if it is mentioned in the ICD and DSM. „Psychosis refers to a collection of symptoms that affect the mind, where there has been some loss of contact with reality. During an episode of psychosis, a person’s thoughts and perceptions are disrupted and they may have difficulty recognizing what is real and what is not.“ (National Institute of mental health) - And this definition is as close to Munchhausen Byproxy as it could be. I've never heard of these diagnoses being mutually exclusive. Quite the opposite.

She killed herself to allow her daughter to come home and get her away from the people at the hospital abusing her child! Someone chose to flag this family because Beata had the audacity to strongly advocate for her child. And not one of these monsters has the courage to admit they were wrong!

It is claimed that Maya does still suffer from CRPS. Remissions can be part of the course of this disease. With that said, I can’t help but wonder where Maya would be had her mother lived, as Maya appeared to greatly recover the year following Beata’s death. Of course, this is all speculation. What also can be true is one may have a legitimate physical diagnosis and still be a victim of a FDIA (just as one may have a legitimate physical diagnosis and have a FD).

So many have already made up their minds based solely on the Netflix doc, plaintiffs case and the recollections of a very ill, traumatized girl who had been on mind altering drugs for more than a year. I have read many of the depos. There is a lot more to this story. I hope the defense brings it.

Really? one of the Johns Hopkins doctor predicted she would kill herself. It's in the texts from the doctor who texted Ketmine girl mother killed herself just as I predicted. (That might not be an exact quote but it's close.)
