Mr Bennett's son has announced the sad news his Father has passed away. Such a great character and part of many of our childhood tv watching. RIP Colin Bennett

@@Londonfogey In my childhood, I thought Captain Pugwash was side-splitting. I returned to it not too long ago, and concluded that some things are best left in the past.
When I was around 6 years old, I used to have a recurring nightmare that I was being chased across a ploughed field by Mr. Bennett. I used to wake up every time just before he caught me. It terrified me!!!
