Here for Worship 🙏😌 Edit: basically the three albums are treated as a trilogy and TMBTE is treated as the finale for this album while Euclid is treated as the finale for the trilogy. So by reading the lyrics or listening to the instrumentals, you would find that some songs reference/call back to other songs from previous albums. 😁

People know who all the members are and what they look like but we don’t talk about that. For all the albums, it’s just Vessel and II on the recording. Vessel writes and records all the instruments except for drums. Their live shows include 2 other members and the vesselettes. III and IV on bass and guitar. They’ve recently been made an official addition to the band.

Just for some context since you keep referencing the Bible, Sleep Token (Vessel in particular) has lore about how the goddess of Sleep came to him in a dream about sharing her message and him receiving glory or something as a result. There's an article where they briefly talked about this in like the only interview they've done, everything else is fan theory and stuff, but thats usually where the relationship/religious part of the lyrics/themes come from

This album is the last part of the trilogy. It starts off with Sundowning then This Place Will Be Your Tome and then Take Me Back To Eden. When you’re done listen to Euclid again, it’s so much more emotional

They have been the same since their first EP. This isn't new. They singer and the drummer are the band. They are the only musicians. They hire a bass player, guitarist and backup singers for live shows.

This and trench are 2 of my fav albums of all time 🙌🏼

actually distorted vocals have too many techniques to not hurt your voice in the process. i guess (but not sure) vessel uses the fry scream technique in sleep token songs, but you can scream the hell out of your vocal folds without getting hurt with the right setting, so don't worry

tbf Euclid is a direct callback to past songs/albums, and more bits are sprinkled between songs on the TMBTE tracks too and this is the only album ive ever listened to fully, Sleep is my god. Worship

Perfectly got into my feed! As a new-ish sleep token fan I consider Take Me back to Eden to be their best album. From start to end. It progresses through different influences and genres which I just love. Definitely deserves the fame it has right now!

You always record singing and screaming vocals in different takes for purposes of mixing and such

I always think Sleep Token sounds like a cleaner, more refined version of Deftones. It's that same evolution of haunting, sexy doom metal.

Glad you listened to ST, this is the 3rd and final album of a trilogy, Vessel, sang a story in 3 albums of chasing after and longing for a goddess he had seen for a short period of time and never saw again and i highly suggest listening yo sundowning and this place will become your tomb, the ending of Euclid is a reprise of the 1st song “the night does not belong to god” on the 1st album, and makes the 3rd album have so much more meaning referencing the other two albums and the story as a whole

Check out the songs Jaws. It's one of their very first songs released (2018). It's not even on an album. It's not a song that changes genres mid song so much as a song that'd be hard to categorize because it does multiple things during the song. Telomeres and The Love You Want are both personal favorites of mine from albums prior to Back To Eden

Bad omens the death of peace and mind is another good album to listen to for an intro to this sort of music

10:40 how do you know? I don’t think what you say can be confirmed. Therefore what you say is not true. There’s tons of biblical references through the entire catalog. Which also doesn’t confirm they are Christian. So I would say speculations for or against Christian claims are invalid. It is clearly a spiritual project over all.
